Can you imagine the frothing rage that would occur if someone did that with Obama as the object? Of course, the movie was freedom of expression, so it's all good.

Well, wadaya know. I honestly had no idea they did that. It's their right to not show it, just as it would be their right to not show a similar movie about Obama. But I honestly think that in the hypothetical Obama case, the 'refusal to show' would be more wide spread and vocal. Either way, I don't like the idea of anyone making a movie like this, but I recognize the free speech aspect. As the statement credited to Voltaire says, 'Though I may disagree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it'.

In all seriousness, good on her for saying that, and thank you for pointing that out. I still think (yes, my opinion / speculation) that there would be more public / media outrage if a film like that would be made about Obama. And again, I think that would be equally as deplorable.
