Oblivion on the Crysis engine

Pretty cool stuff. The project got shutdown for obvious reasons but maybe its a glimpse into TES 5.

I care about gameplay MUCH more than visuals.
Having said that, since the gameplay can easily be improved with mods and total overhauls, it would kinda neat to have the game in a more advanced engine. Same for Fallout 3.

That looks pretty amazing, but one of the things that always pissed me off was the gay creatures they had in these games. Talking tigers with humanoid faces really irritated me because its unrealistic, and here's this awesome medieval world and then the developers have to go about making it retarded by putting dumbfuck creatures in it that don't make any sense.

you need to try mount & blade. medieval setting with ZERO fantasy/magic crap. no healing potions, no talking animals, only realistic stuff.

lol, the game wasn't that realistic, it was just really bloomy, and plastic enviroments, and the all the character models had a weird white glow on them, but it was still one of the better games I've played

it's not suppose to be an Arena type of game, and it won't make sense to run fast with all that heavy armor on, and there was Horses you know, and instant traveling on the world map has made it much faster paced game than previous TES.

Me, I am in the anti-Oblivion camp. Totally put me off buying any Bethesda games. Even their increasingly rare good ones are still buggy, poorly patched, more likely to be plagued with consolitis, and declining in storylines.

Though I will say that I liked Fallout 3 better than Oblivion. Perhaps due to lowered expectations. I only have it because someone gave it too me as a gift, however. Not sure I would feel I'd got my money out of it if I'd bought it. The UI is a major pain in the butt. The lunchbox is cool...
