Owner of a real estate photography and videography company.

Dream job would have something to do with making people's lives better (the responsible side of me), traveling (the adventurer in me), chilling (the introvert in me), and getting laid a lot by different gorgeous women (the man in me).

I currently am a technician repairing and programming credit card terminals. It may soon evolve into something bigger.

My dream job would actually be writing code. But only because I am terrible at it and I admire people that can do it.

I spent most of my day trying to get around Microsoft Exchange's limit of 250 recipients for an email that needed to go to 2,500 people.

I send a hearty "fuck you" to Constant Contact, Outlook, Exchange, and Word/Mail Merge. Despite your dismal failure to provide assistance, I got 'er done in less than an hour.

And then I wrote down how I did it, so that next year will be easy.

My dream job while in college was server admin. I had done it during the summer as a student and really liked it.

When I graduated I started off at the help desk for a few years then moved on to server admin, but at a customer site. The job itself was nice but the environment was really poisoned. I left it when I saw a NOC position come out, it's more telecommunication than IT, but I learned it, and enjoy it now, been almost 2 years.

I like playing with server stuff at home but realized it's a totally different beast in the corporate world. Too much politics.

Agreed, there is a lot of politics and red tape around systems administration in the corporate/government world. Before my current job I worked in a helpdesk for a large government contractor. I talked to the network admins regularly and even they hated it. I feel like as a tier 2/3 tech support analyst for a small company I have more freedom to learn and experiment than many sys admins do in their corporate walled garden.

Tech support, mainly tier 2. Want to move into more of the sysadmin kind of thing in the future.
