Oh shit! The commies are using biological warfare!
Come on, it must be time now right?
I also stocked lots of medicine in addition to ammo. I'm all set.

Watch the "snide comments" buddy. Michal is the self-appointed Snide Comment Police. He'll be all over you shortly.Actually maybe you should do some back logging before just jumping straight into a fucking conversation like a moron.
More specifically, Matt1970 posted a "snide comment" replying to Jhhnn, followed by a typical anti-ACORN talking point. (Hmm, Michal seems to have missed that snide comment too. Why is that?)michal vs bowfinger started with michal saying "pot meet kettle" or some crap due to bowfinger saying others just parrot.
Yes, thank you. I wasn't willing to let Michal change the subject.bowfinger kept arguing his acorn point
Exactly. That was my point. Michal was unwilling or unable to support his "snide comment" about parroting, and he seems to lack the integrity to admit to error, so he dodged that point again and again. Instead, he just kept repeating -- dare I say "parroting" -- his "snide comment" over and over.while michal kept telling him he does nothing but talk shit on others "parroting" while "parroting" himself. ...
I think that's a bit over the top. It was a pragmatic move for them, to put money in Wells temporarily, but it sure makes them look dumb. They apparently need a political strategist to steer them away from such PR blunders.I made a post yesterday asking about this without a link, everyone glossed over the post lols. It's pretty terribad and Occupy Oakland should be ignored and shunned by the other Occupy movements for their actions. Fucking morons.
Just a general observation kids. If you're too thin-skinned to handle a few insults, you really should avoid P&N. In fact, you should probably avoid any political discussions anywhere.LMAO!!! As if you don't throw insults around in here.
that sucks spidey. hopefully they have their cannabis to treat it.
btw saw this posted on Cracked.com not bad

And I agree the Oakland branch seems to be the most problematic of the OWS groups. They need to get a handle on their fringe because it reflects poorly on the movement as a whole.
Maybe. I'm not there so I don't know what factors pushed them to Wells. It may be a simple matter of physical proximity (laziness, as you say), maybe one of the OWS protestors had a connection there, maybe the nearby police station has a Wells ATM in their lobby. Who knows? They did say it was just temporary so they recognized it wasn't the best idea. Sadly, they didn't recognize it looked like an incredibly hypocritical idea.[ ... ]
There really is no excuse for it Bowfinger. I'm pretty sure a Credit Union would have been more than willing to help them expedite the setting up of an account for them. It seems like laziness and going back to what "one knows" is what they did. These people should be ignored by the rest of us and shunned by their peer groups. It's not harsh, it's well deserved.

Whatever the case, I agree it was a dumb move.

My $0.02.
That's a rather distorted spin on what happened, don't you think? I certainly agree what they did was wrong, and I think it's absolutely appropriate that the man who did it was arrested for it. Nonetheless, it sounds like it was an accident in that there was no premeditated intent to hurt anyone. It happened when the paramedic fell over a ladder.Looks like OWS just broke an EMTs leg in Zuccotti Park, got to love the peaceful protesters exercising their right to break the legs of medical techs. I'm pretty sure that's in the Bill of Rights.

I know Mommy tells you you're special, but if you read my comment carefully you'll note I never referred to you specifically. I replied to your comment about insults. I addressed my reply to "kids" (plural), i.e., the people in the forum (and by insinuation those who are so immature that insults wound them deeply).LMAO!!! Now stating a fact is being thin skinned. What a fuckin g00ber.

Again, to be crystal clear, OWS was in the wrong here. Contrary to you insinuation, there is no evidence of malicious intent.
I'd also point out that later in this article, Bloomberg is quoted as saying how peaceful and well-behaved the OWS crowd has been. Not quite the raging mob many here want to portray.
And you think that translates to, "got to love the peaceful protesters exercising their right to break the legs of medical techs. I'm pretty sure that's in the Bill of Rights."? Honestly? Certainly sounds like derogatory spin to me, but we can agree to disagree. Not a distorted spin at all, from the story
""We were denied access to the patient, and people were actually blocking us from transporting," said FDNY Commissioner Salvatore Cassano.
One of the EMTs was pushed into a ladder, fracturing his leg."
It doesn't sound as if it was an "accident", the intent might not have been to break the EMT's leg, but the intent was certainly to intimidate through physical violence.
edit: Bloomberg is basically just in CYA mode since he's done nothing about the lawlessness in Zuccotti Park.

holy HELL!!Watch the "snide comments" buddy. Michal is the self-appointed Snide Comment Police. He'll be all over you shortly.
Wait, never mind. He thinks you're on his side. You're safe.
More specifically, Matt1970 posted a "snide comment" replying to Jhhnn, followed by a typical anti-ACORN talking point. (Hmm, Michal seems to have missed that snide comment too. Why is that?)
I replied to Matt, matching his snide comment with a single snide line of my own, then followed it with three somewhat-lengthy paragraphs summarizing what the real issues with ACORN were and were not, and how the right misrepresented them. In short, the vast majority of my post was substantive, with the snide one-liner included to match Matt's tone.
Michal ignored all of that substance, instead posting his own "snide comment" suggesting I was just posting talking points. Since talking points are inherently misleading, if not outright dishonest, he was essentially saying my ACORN comments were at best misleading, or perhaps even dishonest. I thus challenged him to put up or shut up, to show how my comments were inaccurate. That's when the running began.
Yes, thank you. I wasn't willing to let Michal change the subject.

It's not like anybody tried to break the guy's leg- that was incidental to what was happening, no matter how much you'd like to claim otherwise.
