It looks like the National Park Service is finally going to boot the #Occupy protesters/campers out of 2 Washington D.C. parks. It's kind of a shame they were only able to break the law for 4 months before law enforcement did anything about it.

"The Occupy DC protesters must stop camping in McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza, both a few blocks from the White House, starting at about noon on Monday, the Park Service said on Friday.

The Park Service will start to enforce regulations that "prohibit camping and the use of temporary structures for camping in McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza," the agency said in a flyer distributed at the sites."

Its winter you morons.

Put your jihad on hibernation until spring. If nobody comes out when the weather is nicer, then you can start yelling about lame-itudes.

If it was important, they would don their winter gear and continue to fight for what is important. But it obviously was just something "cool" to do so they could tell stories to their grandchildren decades from now about how they "fought the good fight"...

OWS has taken time off from covering up rapes in parks to shelter rapists out on bail in churches that they later deface.

The debate is over on OWS. Bought and paid for useful idiots, criminals, communists, union thugs, and college brain deads, led on a short leash by their rich bankster leaders. Everything I have stated is fact.

Always nice to see some #Occupy action with tear gas and flash bang grenades.

"Occupy protesters had planned to take over a vacant building to house their headquarters and hold a two-day party. In the days leading up to Saturday's protest, Oakland police stepped up a public relations effort to prepare for the weekly marches.

Around noon, about 250 protesters gathered at Frank Ogawa Plaza for a rally, according to a city of Oakland press release. At 1:30 p.m., the group began marching with a crowd of about 450 protesters. Forty-five minutes later, some of the marchers entered the campus of Laney College, city officials said.

That was when police first fired tear gas.

At 2:30 p.m., marchers began tearing down perimeter fences around the vacant Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center, city officials said. Police declared an unlawful assembly and fired more tear gas. The area on Oak Street between 10th and 12th streets has been declared an unlawful assembly area and the city directed the media to vacate."

Is the overt racism and condoning of sexual violence part of the communism thing, or is that OWS original?

You radical Righty America hating Republicans insist the Occupy movement is dying off yet now today it's up to 2000 protestors with 300 arrested and this is the dead of winter.

The anti-American mayor thinks the Occupiers are "playing"

Come Spring and Summer you ain't seen nothing yet

300 arrested in daylong Occupy Oakland protests

Saturday's protests — the most turbulent since Oakland police forcefully dismantled an Occupy encampment in November — came just days after the group said it planned to use a vacant building as a social center and political hub and threatened to try to shut down the port, occupy the airport and take over City Hall.

An exasperated Mayor Jean Quan, who faced heavy criticism for the police action last fall, called on the Occupy movement to "stop using Oakland as its playground."

The number of demonstrators swelled as the day wore on, with afternoon estimates ranging from about 1,000 to 2,000 people.

Michael Davis, 32, who is originally from Ohio and was in the Occupy movement in Cincinnati, said Saturday was a very hectic day that originally started off calm but escalated when police began using "flash bangs, tear gas, smoke grenades and bean bags."

"What could've been handled differently is the way the Oakland police came at us," Davis said. "We were peaceful."

"we were peaceful" until the police made them stop breaking the law, then they got violent.

1,000 to 2,000 protesters isn't a very large protest in an urban area.

I did like this article about #occupy the Chicago G8 summit.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/jan/26/protesters-urged-occupy-chicago-g8-nato

"Sam Jewel of Occupy DC said: "Everyone I've spoken to form Occupy DC is pretty excited about it. It's going to be a pretty dramatic few weeks. It will be interesting to see that will happen and whether they will respect for dissent. The mayor of Chicago hasn't ever allowed tents at Occupy Chicago. There is the whole tradition of '68 with all the police brutality there. But we are in a different era of protests now."

I also think it is funny that these people cover their faces. I thought they were proud of their action. Why cover the face like you are ashamed?

This is the real face of #Occupy and their supporters. This is what they want to do, but they try to hide behind the peace rhetoric. We've seen their violence, actions always speak louder than words.

Collection of isolated incidents.

In rebuttal from your linked article:

Occupy Oakland demonstrators broke into the historic building and burned a U.S. flag, as officers earlier fired tear gas to disperse people throwing rocks and tearing down fencing at a convention center.

Protesters clashed with police throughout the day, at times throwing rocks, bottles and other objects at officers. And police responded by deploying smoke, tear gas and bean bag rounds, City Administrator Deanna Santanta said.

"These demonstrators stated their intention was to provoke officers and engage in illegal activity and that's exactly what has occurred today," Santana said.

The group assembled outside City Hall late Saturday morning and marched through the streets, disrupting traffic as they threatened to take over the vacant Henry Kaiser Convention Center.

The protesters walked to the vacant convention center, where some started tearing down perimeter fencing and "destroying construction equipment" shortly before 3 p.m., police said.

Police said they issued a dispersal order and used smoke and tear gas after some protesters pelted them with bottles, rocks, burning flares and other objects.

Quan said that at one point, many protesters forced their way into City Hall, where they burned flags, broke an electrical box and damaged several art structures, including a recycled art exhibit created by children.

so isolated that the OWS site is/was calling for solidarity by wearing BLACK clothing. hmm, black like the black bloc that is always violent and destructive.

And I thought OWS keeps claiming they are a 'peacefull' movement.

Oh right, that was all BS.

IF these actions were planned and organized, the organizers should be imprisoned (longterm) for inciting violence and conspiring to commit trespassing, theft, and the destruction of property.

Slapping misdemeanors on their puppets isn't enough.
