My previous post gave me a great idea. What if we confiscated all the weed that OWS protesters had on them, and distributed it to people who can't afford weed? I wonder if suddenly they would all start becoming conservatives. Hell, even if we just took 90% of the weed, and sold that 90% think of the tax revenue we could generate.

Those greedy bastards need to feed their fair share!!!

That you cannot see them learning a very valuable lesson in why socialism/marxism that they preach is bad says all I need to know. Sweet sweet hypocritical irony.

To each according to needs, well those homeless sure do need and the protesters have the ability so we need to take from their ability and give according to need. Or are you saying some 99%'ers are more equal than others?
No, I'm saying you're an ignorant, foaming loon who is so immersed in your own bubble of surreality that an attempt to have a productive discussion with you is even more pointless than talking to Sir Cad. You are incapable of approaching any topic honestly and knowledgeably. When faced with facts and your own lies, you invariably run and hide.

Can you not face the FACT that these protestors are now discovering the downfalls of what they are preaching? Damn you are stupid. Are you just ignoring all the videos of the protesters saying those greedy wall street folks need to SHARE? And then when they are faced with having to share some of THEIR labor and THEIR property, oh hell no they say? Are you really that stupid? Those greedy bastards!

I laid it out very simple for you so you could understand and you still bury your head in the sand when faced with facts and reality.

Exactly! Well... except for the fact that the strawman you constructed bears no resemblance to what OWS is about...

But other than that... Spot On!

Perhaps if they sold their iPhone's, iPad's, digital cameras, and weed stash, they could afford it?
Perhaps so. Or perhaps just one of the Wall Street crooks OWS is protesting could skip a dinner and pay for a decent meal for everyone. The point which you so naturally dodge is that's not the purpose of OWS.

I will say it is hilarious to see just how easily the sock puppets for the corrupt status quo are herded into action by such lame non-stories. They are most excellent Pavlovian sheep, too dull to realize how easily they're played.

Yes, because asking people with tens of millions or even billions of dollars, obtained via pervasive corruption, to share a small portion of their loot with their victims is identical to asking a comparatively poor group with very limited resources to share a great portion of theirs. As I said, you are too deranged and too dishonest for productive discussion.

If their goal is to support the group you're talking about (the 1%) and they're supporting the 1%, how exactly are they being played? If anything, they're attempting to play others (those that don't support the 1%) into supporting them.

Useless, as usual. I'm curious, have you ever contributed anything constructive and useful here?

Besides projecting himself as one of those contrarian bitter losers in life (a really boring and psychic vampire type of personality) not much.

Free range organic chicken, roasted beet salad and goat milk cheese are pretty pricey dishes, sounds like they're living like the bourgeois they despise so much.

Your post wreaks of class warfare which really is all this is. The useful idiots, waging the class war trumpeted by the marxist in chief Obama (remember who he's gone on and one even before the election about those "fat cats on wall street"). That is a FACT retard, you're just too blind or too stupid to learn from history about every other communist revolution. We've seen this play before and Americans will reject it.

It wasn't directed at me, but one of the suggestions i've made about a partial/beginning solution to governmental corruption that is one of the goals of Occupy is to have term limits on existing and future federal politicians. I can't see how a Senator or a Rep. that has been serving for 30/40 or over 50 years isn't ass deep in political corruption. They're either a major part of it or they've enabled it over the course of their stay. It's always the forum members on the far left that oppose this suggestion, it seems to me that as far as they're concerned political corruption, as long as it favors their side, is just fine.

Term limits are a terrible idea, and they should be opposed no matter where you are on the political spectrum. Their end result would be a massive weakening of the legislature as compared to the presidency, and I think executive power in this country is far too strong already.

cad, spider, fear no evil, patranus, governmentworker777, nick1985 they all stick to their religious beliefs regardless of what you say. I'm sure I'm leaving someone out of the retard patrol.

That's really not fair to Retards.

They may not be smart, but many of them are nicer, and care much more about their countrymen than these guys.

They also do not start making up stuff to try and make their world view fit what is going on. Their world view is usually right in front of their face, not what someone eles tells them it should be.

That's 1 from the left side. Isn't the President term limited to 2 terms? Who was the corrupt President that made it necessary to pass term limits?

Ok, can one of you Occupy supporters pease explain something to me?

I was walking past American University today and came across a flier for a "Student Occupy Group." The flier was a meeting announcement for current students interested in joining the Occupy movement -- including a list of grievances they plan to protest for/against.

One of those items was "Student Loan Forgiveness."

My question: Why the HELL are CURRENT students protesting against the need to pay back loans THAT THEY HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED TO PAY BACK YET?! They want the loans forgiven when they're not even finished using said loans?! Seriously, wtf?

It's just plain ridiculous at this point...

HOLY ENTITLEMENT HELL BATMAN!!

No more ridiculous then presidential candidates proposing tax reforms where the wealthiest man in America pays .2% and insinuating Obama's birth certificate is a fake. If American's want their politics to be reasonable then I'd suggest they have a lot of work to do.

I think there are valid issues with term limits, as Eskimospy points out, for example. Nonetheless, I tend to agree with you. Term limits are not ideal, but what we have now is a disaster for democracy. Much of that is due to professional politicians, dedicated to a lifetime of serving the special interests who've bought them. I think money in politics is the real root cause, but professional politicians certainly aggravate the problem.

Coming from the guy that immediately paints anyone who dares to have a differing opinion as a talk radio loon and can rarely make a post with out pointless insults and personal attacks. That's precious.

I think you should try, maybe just for a day or so, to be more civil and see what happens.

Is it just me or has P&N devolved the past month or so? It seems like there are more insults and personal attacks than ever before.
