There were thousands of protestors in the march (about 7,000 according to the Oakland Police report I saw). In the linked video there were only two or three dozen (less than 1% who were engaging in vandalism. That's still a problem for OWS if they want to continue building the support of average working Americans, but it is only a fringe element.

The rest of the mainstream media has a bit of a dilemma, however. After all, although most of the OWS may not have realized this yet, the big media are a major part of the problem. They have been complicit in preserving the corrupted status quo. They obsess over sex scandals and celebrities, but turn a blind eye to stories that really matter like the systematic pillaging of America. In short, our corporatist mainstream media are part of the 1%. They have to be struggling with how to report a story in which they're one of the bad guys.
