I'm thinking about buying a 670 and OCing it but I already have a 830 and it's a pretty good performer. How much headroom do the 670's have? Which would be better for graphically intensive gaming?
You want to trade your dual core for a higher clocked single core
Sure, the 670 will win in nearly every game (except the few multithreaded ones), but i don't think i like that type of "upgrade", since it's really not one at all.

Agreed, not to mention, you might get like 300 mhz extra, but when your playing a game, you dont have the 2nd core in to take care of the background apps, so you might lose performance getting a faster single than a slower dual core based purely on background apps stealing proc power.

Not much love for the 670 eh? Oh well basically the deal is I found one really cheap and I was trying to decide whether to resell it or my 830. I think I'm sticking with my 830.
