OCing a GF4 Ti 4200 128

This has probably been discussed, but perhaps something new may be mentioned.
Bought my XP 2000+ system last July or so. Came with a GF4 Ti 4200, 128 MB. Albatron brand. This is a "newcomer", but relatively cheap (savings were passed on to me). Nothing wrong with it in reviews, as it IS a reference board design. First off, PowerStrip has told me that it came clocked to 500 mhz memory. Weren't the 128 MB supposed to be 444? For cheaper memory that couldn't clock as high? Perhaps some companies said "screw it" and used same memory on both. Oh well...

Question is this: how far has anyone been able to get this card OCed? Stock cooling or not....Seems to have a reasonable hs/fan. Also, does anyone know of a reliable replacement HS/fan, to squeeze more out of it? Let's just say I haven't tested it too extensively for lack of time/not enough money to replace if gone kablooey. I know that the video card would quit long before it "quit" working forever, but as this is one, if not THE, easiest vidcard to OC, wanted input.

Got the same card. Was able to get it as high as 315/600 (good case cooling). Some games worked as this and some didn't. I'm stable at 290/580. Nice card!

I have the same card. Mine works @ 300/560.

Stable at 285/580 . 300 on some high endurance games can have some side-affects.

UT2003 & Battlefield had problmes for me@315/600

I bought this a while back and didn't seem to clock, everything kept locking up even just a 20 mhz oc. After getting really annoyed I paid the darn restocking fee and got the Albatron turbo. Now this is a sweet card, got it all the way to 320/720 and amazingly got 15k points in 3dmark2k1.

I have some questions about overclocking a Gainward ti4200 64mb(This card with the dvi and tv-out though) PICTURES. I just started overclocking it. I max out the ram and then the core until I did not see those split second white dots in this game called America's Army Operations. I got the card from 250/513 to 253/560. Does not seem like a good overclock. I was thinking of adding heatsinks to the ram but am skeptical about that making a big difference. I see you people have luck with oc'ing your cards. What do you call stable? At your stable clocks do you see those white split second dots I see? I probably can clock my card higher but I would have to live with the dots.

I've got the Asus 9280 series GF4 TI-4200/128Mb card and was wondering what settings people were getting with this card? I'm a little reluctant to overclock for fear of burning the thing up since this is my first attempt.

Another question I have my P4 2.4B running at 3046Mhz. Do I need to adjust the AGP PCI bus speed ratio settings so the vid card isn't overclocked too much and what settings should I be using??
