OC'ing RAM on Ryzen help

First off I wanted to apologies for my poor English ^^,

Finally I got this ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 motherboard, but yeah the manual was kinda confusing, when comes to set properly the RAMS I ended up putting my viper kit dual channel 2x4 gb , into the socket A2, B2 I upgrade sucessfully my bios from 1.40 to latest 2.5. But I'm facing a problem, it seems that when I activate the Xmp 2.0 profile 1, it will slow down the boot time like crazy, and my cpu fan start to: turn on/off automatically ...

So i was wondering what can i do? should i overlock manually?

GPU: EVGA GTX 580 NVIDIA 1.5 GB
PSU: Thermaltake 775+bronce 80
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 3.2
RAM: Patriot Viper 3200mhz 2x4 GB model PV48G320c6k
CASE:Thermaltake v9 black edition


PS: Also I don't want to sound disrespectful but I've notice a downgrade in
sound performance, compared to my old intel H55m-e33, which I don't have a gaming headset. Anyway, hope someone can guidance me in order to fix or improve a little be the Ryzen experience among my old gtx 580 and new rams.. and also if someone can teach me to boost my SOUND, the creative 3 is not helping either seems like it doesn't do anything.

Also some friends where telling me that if i increase SOC voltage it will help me to achieve a better stability but in bios there are no such options, only when using AMD RYZEN MASTER
I'm using power management mode balanced, so it goes from 1.5gh to 2.8. 3.2 or 3.7 depends of cpu usage i guess, but for games i put on high performance, because otherwhise, game feels like stuttered... or sluggish hehe, also i would love to know if there are a guide to tweak bios for this asrock ab350 k4 gaming fatality, to achieve the best smooth for games, also i feel so noob sometimes tired of living this bad situation in my country Venezuela, hard to find a pc components etc u.u

The thing is, I don't know how to find the sweet spot, or also how to properly connect my gpu,cpu, rams like in harmony, i know my gpu is not the best, but i would love to learn or get the best of my computer, like learning to avoid bottle neck of gpu, by lowering resolution or things like that, wish i can find a person that i can learn alot, also my english is not helping me, thats why i came here, to post my situation, to see if someone have a little be of knowledge or patience to help me or guidance me u.u

Wait a little month then update the bios again. The agesa 1.0.0.6 will probably solve the xmp issue. Dont mess with it now. Its not worth it. Probably its only 2 weeks.

Regarding sound its 100% elsewhere. Typically extra bass or some setting in sound drivers give a difference. The sound hardware is not going to make the difference. If anything its better. Try to look for the sound settings and find a profile that suits you.

The cpu is certainly not holding you back in games. But that 580 is really really old now. Try to never use dx12 but stay at dx11 or dx10. Use low/perhaps med settings. (Edit: i think nv never actually enabled dx12 for 400 and 400 series but skipped it contrary to what they promised)

Its 5 years since i gamed on nv 5 series card but perhaps use google to find good settings from other 580 users? I think full hd is perhaps a bit to high in some games. Lower to 720 then.
Having good framerate is far more important than quality.

Thanks for your recommendation, but i already installed latest NVIDIA GTX 580 drivers, and when i run the tool DXDIAG my results are:

And these are my benchmark with HEAVEN ENGINE 4.0
by running on native 1680x1050, 4x antialising directx 11.0 ultra quality

And by not running on ultra just HIGH, native+fullscreen

But with that program i cannot select the Direct 12, just 11 as a test... but how can i Downgrade to direct 11 when playing games , or at least to Directx 11? to achieve a stable FPS OR Quality?.

Technically the 580 support dx12.0
Thats what you can see with dxdiag tool
But as i recall nv never released a driver for it. So hopefully its not activated in games so you can not select it.

Perhaps a way to adress it is to give an example of game that have trouble. What is avg fps/ min fps. At what game settings and resolution.
Then perhaps we can narrow down the issue.

Naa. You have to give specific examples. I noticed you post the same post like litteraly 5 other places (its not a good idea btw). Try to give examples.
The ram is not giving those problems even at 2133 and only 8GB. Its sufficient. Your 5 or 6 year old gpu is probably the reason or there is some third reason.

I was doing some test by myself with stock default all settings and using my stop/watch

So i realize that in stock voltages, ram cpu etc it took 5:25 seconds to reach to bios logo

But then i was like okay i will put from 2133 mhz to 2666 mhz, then i save, and use the same method the iphone CLOCK stop/watch, suddenly realize that tooks me 7.45 secs to boot to bios logo, then i was saying what can cause that behavior? i will be reducing timings from 16-16-16-36 y changes to 15-15-15-36 with the same 2133 or 2666, and the same thing again 7.45 sec to boot to bios

But then i went to voltages, and check the VDDP was like 1.1 and the default in 2.133 was 0.964 something like that, well i reduce it to the same from 2133 mhz which is 0.960 by using 2666 mhz, and ended up with the same 5.25 boot time >D

also i check a techcity a video that he uploaded yesterday with my same asrock mtherboard

He managed with stock cooler to upgrade from 3.2 1600 ryzen to 3.8 by using voltage 1.325
Y copy him, and use cynebench, my temps are 67, and 1215 points

and latencies timing ram are 2667 mhz, 15-15-15-15 1.35 voltage and vdpp 0.964 or something like that
Tried heaven engine, didn't notice any change with the FPS, same temperature, same score like 840 score on 4k ultra, 1680x1050 fullscreen, 4x antialising , all i see my score went from 1000 to 850, i dont know if that is because,
I updated to the last drivers from nvidia manufacturers..... which i was using an old gtx 580 from windows update...

But yeah thats it , i really dont know if im making something wrong X.x!

Try to reset your bios to default.
Then use ryzen tools to oc ram and cpu.
You might also use your mb automatic tool to do so.

For cpu i would use 1.38v and gun for 3.7 as a starter then 3.8 and 3.9. When you find where you are stable try to lower voltage to 1.375 and 1.37 ...1.35 use eg aida to check for stability.

Set soc voltage if you can to 1.1V and ram to 1.35 perhaps 1.38 or 1.4 later on. But as said i would touch ram for the next 2 weeks2 unless its for fun.

Leave other settings as it is.

Higher boot to bios time is ryzen training memory so its normal.

but why would i go with voltages on cpu 1.38, if its running stable on 1.3325 xd with 3.8 ghz at least with cybenench no problem, and the ram as i said if up the VDDP even training memory off, the boot time will increase, and become slow, so im running 2666mhz with 0.945 vdpp faster as 2133 mhz

Now whats the Voltage SOC? does it necessary the only way to changes that soc voltage is with ryzen tool.
