$1.60 per gb on SSD side = free 1tb hard drive
$.16 per gb on HDD side = free 100gb ssd

Not a bad average, and no messy power/sata cables to mess with!

Your math is bad and you should feel bad.

It is NOT 0.63 per gb of SSD. It is 0.63 gb per DOLLAR. Which is a completely different ratio. If it was 0.63 per gb then the drive would cost 63 dollars as there are 100 gb and 100 x 0.63 = 63.

It is NOT 0.06 per gb on the HDD side either. Or the drive would against cost about 60 dollars as 0.06 x 1000 = 60

Please go back and correct your errors so you can master ratios and return to me for a retake of this quiz.

QFT. I got to play with one of these about a year ago and was very impressed with the concept. Then again, as with all things OCZ, at least when it comes to SSDs, I'm skeptical of reliability.

OK here is the latest on OCZ.
Seagate's tender offer was accepted by OCZ on July 30.
I am not sure of the close date, but OCZ will either be named Seagate and the OCZ name will go away or it will become a Seagate Brand. That has not yet been determined.
The reason OCZ has been throwing out less than reliable tested Products in the SSD division for the last couple of years is to build Sales #s only.
They could give a rats A if the Product functioned properly or not as long as they sold #s.
That was done to make them more attractive to a potential Buyer.
This Company has being trying to be sold for the last 4 years.
Seagate paid about 50% of what is was worth in 2011!!
R&D, Quality Controls & Testing @ OCZ has been barebones to cut cost to make the # s look better.
I would give it a full year after Seagate takes over and clears out all the Clowns( I am sure they all negotiated parachutes) who released this plethora
of unreliable products on the Consumer and invests in better Quality Control, Development and testing.
Mid 2013 may be the Time to start buying OZC or Seagate(yet to be determined ) SSD Drives.
By then Seagate will be in full control of the Company and should clean up the product lines or do away with them all together and build Seagate SSDs.
This low price Product dumping could be the beginning of the end of the OCZ Brand???????
We may see Seagate SSDs sooner than later?

it doesn't always work out that way, quite often the clowns end up running the new company. That's what happened when SBC merged with at&t.

Even if OCZ would be pushing out units to get more sales, no sane company just looks at one side of the ledger, and not the other.
