They still keep the PC Power & Cooling name - I don't think we'll see much difference, except even better supplies from OCZ. Not that theirs were bad to begin with.

Not exactly, but they aren't quite up to the PC P&C standard, either. I mean, if one German automaker bought another, would you rather BMW buy Audi, or Audi buy BMW?

OCZ has had a reputation in the past for lower quality products. They have a ways to go to shed that image.
PC Power & Cooling has always been a top shelf company.

This is true, on both counts. OCZ needed a design team...So they bought one.
Plus, many providers are equal to or bettering PCP&C's build quality. Dodson knew it was time.

Of course they are. Since when has a company known for lower quality products bought a company known for higher quality products, and not done that?

Yeah, anything's possible, but I believe that it's highly unlikely that PC P&C will continue their reign at the top of the psu pile, now that they've been bought.

Great, more bad news on the hardware front. Why not instead make an OEM deal to re-label PC P&C supplies, instead of buy them out. At least then we would be assured of authentic quality.

Since several tears ago.
Zippy/Emacs is/was always top rated, all Etasis built units, most 3Y and Seventeam units are very good, Delta IS entering the retail market in Asia and soon the EU, the USA will be served later. That enough?
PCP&C is not all that. Their marketing was very good. Need your e-pee pee supported? Buy a PCP&C and brag away.

My past three RAM kis have been from OCZ and I love them. Not to mention the support on the forums and their painless RMA procedure.

Are their PSUs not as good as their RAM?

the one thing i hate about ocz (and i own some of their products, from years ago) is their bullsh!t marketing hype like sli certified ram and sh!t like that. i find it insulting to anybody knows wtf they are talking about...

Agreed. They are the last domestic PSU maker that still uses American Labor. Keep it in the USA Dodson!

So please put your fears aside...yes we bought them...but only good will come from this with wider availability the first thing to change on the PCP&C units...specially in the UK and EU
