Anyone have a feeling that Mr. N here is a disgruntled formal employee? Kind of odd how much access he had to an empty store....

Kind of sucks for OCZ since several major hardware sites were praising their products in review.

Well said and excellent advice. Also try to avoid any company that uses the word "cool" in the company name unless they make air conditioners and it's usually a good idea to stay away from any company name that uses the word "Best". If they're the best, we'll know soon enough without it being plastered on their letterhead.

I am happy that I only buy from Mushkin and Crucial.

Especially Mushkin, I bought two stick 128MB rev2 pc133 from them two years ago for $375 total, and complained once ( not sure why I complained, maybe because the RAM price drop too fast ), they exchanged two stick 256MB rev2 for me free of charge. That is the best experience I ever had with any on-line stores. Mushkin Rules!

What is the problem if their products work as they claim? So what if they outsources most of their stuffs, companies do that all the time.

I don't know how 'major' a site you are referring to, but I know that there are several hardware review sites that are fully funded by this company.

Never used OCZ RAM so not sure how good or bad their stuff is, but after reading many nightmare stories I don't think I'll ever buy from them.

Products aside, I think just the fact that they have 5-6 different online storefronts for one actual store is pretty shady.

Glad I got Crucial. A month ago my Crucial 256MB DDR crapped out all of the sudden, and I bought the stick last September. Crucial replaced the stick and shipped it to me 2nd day air - no questions asked. That lifetime warranty really is awesome.

I've deal with OCZ about 2 years ago and it was nothing but trash dump place ran by bunch of teenage criminals

Watch out for companies with names that start with multiples A's....
Watch out for companies that have addresses that end with a multiple digit 'suite' number....
and of course the most basic rule...watch out for companies that start with the letters AOL

Watch out folks, this guy is out to SCAM again! I clicked on their website only to be forwarded to this:
Noble PCs

Here is a message from their front page, trying to put another scam on:

<< Welcome to the all new Noble Computers Inc. website. We are back online and ready to serve you. We are a new company that bought the WeBuildPcs.com theoverclockerzstore.com and AbilityWholesale.com domain names. Those websites are no longer in service and any problems with them need to be addressed with the previous owners. We hope to become your source for today's cutting edge technology. You will see some of the same products at the same great prices. During this time of change, please bear with us and let us know what you like or dislike about our website. We will continue to be your online source for today's hottest products at rock bottom pricing. >>

In the Contact Us section, here's what I find:
Contact Us

Noble Computers Inc.
1002 Diana Drive
Kouts, IN 46347

Hours of operation: Monday Through Friday

9:00AM CST to 5:00PM CST

Shipping Hours

10:00AM CST to 3:00PM CST

Phone:
219-405-3819

So basically this guy just rents another small place somewhere, filed bankruptcy on all the previous shady businesses, and starts over with the scam again with the new site. What a JOKE this guy is. I feel sorry for the folks that actually buy from this place. I'd personally pay him a visit if I was in IN but too bad I'm in CA.

Yeah I love how he claims to have "purchased" the website from the previous owners. Why in the hell would you purchase the website of such a terribly rated company?

Ok i bought my OCZ memory from newegg. I contacted them. I talked to a tech guy there not CS. He told me that they get their OCZ memory form OCZ technologies. In lots of 1000. I really dont think they are manufacturing there. They might be an importer, Might just be a store front from pictures from the old Overclocersz store.

Have any of you ever been in the Cheap "asian" computer stores. They are usually Holes in the wall like that one. With the no english speakeing guy saying "IT DA BEST" or "YOU BUY NOW" "WHY YOU TOUCH SO MUCH"

Here is a link of places to buy from http://www.ocztech.com/vendors/us/index.asp.. I ran a trace on their phone number it comes up this address Which is also in indiana.

Melvin wong senior VP's phone number.
3263 SWANSON CIR
PORTAGE IN 46368
(219)764-7868

I bought mine from NEWEGG.com. The ram is in my p4 system running at 408mhz ddr. 2 sticks no problems. Is newegg part of this also?? I remember when newegg wasnt around 3 years ago. I used to buy from MWAVE.com. Then started buying from NEWEGG.COM. Noticed stuff was coming from same address. HMM No one is throwing rocks at newegg. Mwave is still online also and they are the same store. ANd also as someone stated above. NEWEGG IS in the CITY of INDUSTRY in CA.

I have bought stuff from webuildpc's. Nice price on cases. And cheap shipping. Which is hard to find. Im not defending, their many storefronts. But this is america. We lie about everything

Im a computer reseller and have a small store. I have bought stuff from BUY.COM. and it got shipped from INGRAMMICRO.com a resellers site. I ship stuff from there with my LOGO. Buy.com doesnt have an actual store. They just drop ship everything. They are the middle man usually. All computers. Im on viewsonics site as a reseller for them. I link my store front to their site. And also have links to intel and amd. That's how it is, make believe online. That is how you sell stuff along with cheap prices.

Crucial doesnt make their memory chips, neither does corsair. they buy them from micron. Dam i looked at my OCZpc 3000 it has micron chips on it.

We better call FOX MULDER on this one. The conspiracy is just growing and growing. Everyone is in on it.

I got burnt from VIKINGCOMPUTERS you all remember them. But I used my AMEX and got my money back. It happens and will happen to all of you if you continue to buy online. I sell stuff online, ebay, yahoo everywhere. And my store is twice as big as compusa if you ask me.

PS. I would not recommend buying from them now. The store is too hot now. But guess what, they will just change their name and pop up again. That's life.

yeah they don't make their own memory chips. but they make their own memory sticks. everybody buys micron chips (not everyone, but a lot do). and you know these generic sticks oc like dogs. the PCB is a very important component in the oc of memory

I just checked & mwave.com & newegg.com both have different addresses listed on their website. Is it possible that they both just work through a 3rd party wharehouse?

I don't think they ever claimed to make their own chips. The problem is that we aren't sure if they are even making their own PCB's.
