The sad thing is that the difference between DDR2800 2GB 5-5-5-15 for $130AR is 0-1% slower than DDR1000 2GB 5-5-5-15 for $320.

DDR2 1000 prices are ridiculous. I don't even think TCCD cost that much in 2GB kits when it first came out for DDR.

The performance difference in bandwidth is small, but the difference in real performance in applications will be almost nonexistant.

Thats what the anandtech review comparing DDR vs DDR2 kinda said. Buying more expensive ram wont get you as far as a faster CPU or video card.
