OCZ PSU

I'm looking for a OCZ PSU for this system

Asus A8V Deluxe Motherboard
WD Raptor 74GB
AMD Athlon 64 FX-57
Audigy2 ZS
Ge-force 6800 128MB DDR AGP
Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2 2GB DDR400 XMS3200 Memory

Should I go modstream or powerstream? And I want at least 500W.. which should I get? and what model?

Note:I have a silverstone case so the motherboard is reversed.. so the cables can't be short

that is all i could find now. i think they rebadged crap sticks of memory and sold it as quality stuff that would not run stable at stock speeds.

they supposedly have cleaned up their act. and i think OCZ actually send people to monitor various forums (fatwallet and AT to be exact), and the person would say how dedicated they are too customer satisfaction.

maybe they are. but hey, im not taking any chances. and if stuff from seasonic or antec cost the same, why would i want to trust OCZ?

OCZ didn't do so good in these benchmarks, perhaps sniperruff is right, you should be cautious about those PSU's.

Then again, maybe tomshardware had a faulty OCZ PSU in those tests, who knows.

Seasonic is overpriced.

OCZ Powerstream is a better psu than the Seasonic 500W. You can throw anything at the Powerstream 520W and it remains rock solid, even with extreme overclocking and SLI.

It is one of the best power suppies ever created!

Well you seem to be getting an OCZ due to reccomendations, and since that seems to imply you want a good PSU, im reccomending Seasonic as it is better then OCZ



but whatever you do, dont get the ModStream (modular blows)


so get the Seasonic S12 500w

OCZ Powerstream 520W is superior. It is suited more for gamers and people with high end needs.

as for Seasonic ***owning***, that is not the question. We are comparing products here and one is superior to the other.

But for sound freaks, Seasonic may be a better choice.
