I'd be weary of getting anything OCZ for SSDs. They have a pretty bad reputation.

I run an OCZ as my boot drive. Random lockups. Would fail to be seen by BIOS occassionally. Horrible...

Until the firmware update. Solid drive now. Agility 3 drive is solid. Check to see if this drive has firmware before writing it off completely. Best 15 minutes spent on the PC to date. Easy flash, but you need to connect it to another source if it's a boot drive. Use a USB to SATA adapter and run from another machine. Everyone should have a USB to "any" drive adapter in their tool kit.

For $20 more, you get move to a SATA 3 drive. much better option.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'd condemn all OCZ drives, but I would definitely think twice before getting an older one like the vertex plus with the old Indilinx controller. You'd be in for both speed and reliability issues, most probably.
