hey guys remember i wanted to return the camera well now i am not. That is becasue i asked the lady if i could use an officemax coupon when i was returning it, becsaue i said people were getting better deals from other office depots that were taking competitor coupons, so she said she could take that coupon if i bought the epson c84 printer. So i printed out the coupon, and then she voided the last transaction, and rang me up. What she did was gave me 50 off plus that original 20 off 100 officedepot coupon., so that is a total 70 off instant. So my total was 226.81 and with tax it was 243.48. NOw i get all the rebates. So then when i eventually get my rebates it would cost me 73.48 for all of it. SO you guys should try to use the 50 off 250 or more officemax coupon. good luck

Ordering online from OfficeDepot.com and then picking up in store is NOT the same as buying it in store. You will not get a register receipt when you go to pick it up. Your receipt will be the one you get online. So be careful, this may not qualify you for the rebate.

I ordered over the phone with an in-store pickup - that's to make sure that they had the camera in stock and available. If you go to the store the manager may have hidden the camera for his cronies for later pickup. Hey, if I was a manager I would make it a practice to line my own pocket with the help of ebay. Sales to OD OM Staples are exactly the same. I then purchased the C84 at the store and made the store cancel my phone order and charge the sale on one receipt. This way I had an "in-store" order and the $100 rebate rules are followed. You can do this by adding a box of paper clips and canceling your original order. I have done this many times when I know that the item will not be there after work, or even in the next five minutes because the item is supposedly out of stock. Don't call the store, call in your order! If you missed out and you went to the store you might still have a chance. When I went to the store to pick up the camera I walked around to the camera section and found not one on the shelves. I then went to the counter and asked for that camera. The clerk said they did not have any. I then gave him my order #. He called the manager. The manager brought one back to me. I said that I want to shop some. That's when I picked up the C84. I went to check out and I told the cashier that the manager had reserved a camera for me. She called the asst. mngr. and he brought out a camera. The other cashier said that she had the camera under her table and brought it out. Now there are two cameras. I wanted to buy both but then I knew someone would be mad at me if I tried that. I will not jeopardize future "deals" by pissing off the manager. I used a real staples coupon for $20. My teenage son is now the proud owner of a nice starter camera.

As of this morning, none left at Columiba, MO store. Plenty left in Chicago so more may come in.

Discussion is at wallet.

I thought there were none left at the OD on Rt. 1 in Alexandria, VA, but I asked and they got one from the back. I'm not sure if they had any left. They said they only sell the display model if it is discontinued, but it might be worth a call. The display looked to be in perfect condition, including the plastic film over the LCD.

I picked up one. It comes with a 16 meg CF memory card.

If you're looking from more memory this seems like a good deal on a 256mg card for $33 after rebate. Last day for rebate on this card.

From Steves Digicams:

Large / SuperFine - 1,002(KB) - 1,600 x 1,200 - 8MB: 7 - 16MB: 14 - 32MB: 30 - 64MB: 61 - 128MB: 122 - 256MB: 246

....

256MB seems a bit overkill for this camera. How good is this deal on the edge 128MB CF card at ecost.com?

after zinkpig's web site and using it myself..I am totally convince that QUALITY always much better than Quantity!!!!!

I no longer need a 4 meg pixel camera just to take a pic of the RAM's batch code.

I was thinking the same thing (getting a 128MB vs a 256MB CF card)

I was gonna hold out for a deal on a Lexar. Does anyone know if those transfer speeds make a big difference?

256MB is overkill for my A80, at least for my uses. I can get well over 100 pictures with it set to 4MP/superfine. With the compression set to "fine" I get closer to 200 pics.

How much difference in picture quality is there between fine and super fine compression?

Got one at the Hollywood store. 182.94 total with tax, minus a -30 off coupon from staples.
82.94 after 100 rebate.

Thanks OP

Fry's LA - Kingston CF 128 w/$15 rebate. Make that $10 AR. Looks like it's about time memory companies are closing out the 128 module.

I'm in on this one:

199 camera + 97.81 printer = 296.81 - 30 staples coupon - 50 combo rebate - 100 camera rebate - 20 printer rebate = 96.81 for printer and camera

I'm happy

I really can't tell a difference. If I were planning on printing something, I'd use superfine, but for web pictures, fine is... fine.

Just bought here, their last item and was able to use the Staples 30off150 coupon. They'd let me PM to Walmart, but none of the local ones had it, and they can't match internet price on Walmart.com

Still good deal at a total of $83.87 after rebate.

One question, is the box shrinkwrapped? Mine isn't, and although everything inside looks brand new, ie. wire tie, packaging, I'd like to get a confirmation from you. Is the camer wrapped inside with bubblebag and that's it?

I had the same concerns. Mine did not have a sealed box. The camera was in bubble wrap but, there wasn't any tape holding it closed. Everything did look new and undisturbed, however. The thing that confirmed for me that the camera was in fact unused, was the fact that when I turned it on for the first time it prompted me to set the date and time. According to the manual, this prompt only happens when the camera is first started or when the little "coin" battery is changed. The manual also states that the coin battery is installed at the factory.

now i'm thinking about the olympus cam boxes with the rectangular holes... ah, memories
