I thought all of the OD computers were linked, so the clearance stuff dropped in price at roughly the same time nationwide? My OD has all of the joysticks listed in this deal, but they were still marked regular price.

Anyone know about how OD clearance works?

i read the sign... it said 49.99, then i went to CSR and asked for a pricematch... and he did so and said 49.99

i picked up a gravis blackhawk digital and a logitech wingman precision. 4.99 and 7.99. the sidewinder precision 2 was marked 49.99, csr pricechecked to 49.99. the logitech wingman attack 2 was marked 19.99, didnt bother to pricecheck as i was sure it would ring up the same . the formula GP was marked 49.99 - 10.00mir, the sidewinder gamepad pro was marked either 29.99 or 34.99.

i guess i'll try again later there. hope the price falls by then.

The OD in Cerritos has 4 of the Logitech gamepad bundles and they're 14.88. The had some other Logitech gamepad but I didn't check the price on it. They had quite a few Wingman Attack 2's but they were 14.99.

I talked to a guy at the Signal Hill store and he said earlier in the year they did clear out the MS Sidewinder Precision 2 but they brought it back for X-mas and marked it up $20 bucks. As of now it scans $49.99 and that's what it shows in the system. He said it should go down sooner or later as the system shows discontinued (not clearance) without replenishment.

IshmaelLeaver - OD's clearance is mostly dictated by corporate, but I believe they stagger the stores and the prices....at least that is my experience with OD (and I have plenty) Sometimes the manager of the store will actually clearance stuff without another store ever marking the same stuff down i.e. Sony Clie's early this year that I got for $99 AR. The deal was found to be only at one store, but others managed to get other stores to PM with help from my receipt. Patience is the key with OD, eventually most of the clearance deals you see here will show up at your local store.

i've actually seen the gravis blackhawk on sale now for a couple weeks at $4.99, but no sidewinder precision2 JS or sidewinder GPs. the OD in San Carlos, CA had all of those items in the same display case, but marked at regular price... i didn't ask them to scan, but maybe i will go back.

all blackhawk digitals were piled up on the floor with a big sign for $4.99.... didn't buy it cuz it was not USB

I stopped by today and picked up the Gravis Blackhawk Digital for $4.99. It isn't USB and it doesn't have a Z-axis but it's a great price. Although the box is labeled Win95/Win98, you can download the Win2k drivers from their website here.

The OD employee commented about the store not normally carrying joysticks outside of the Christmas season so I would expect eventually the Sidewinder Precision 2 will clearance here in Minnesota (currently scans at $49.99).

I went to 2 of my local ODs and the MS Sidewinder Precisioh 2 is still ringing at $49...hope they'll soon drop the price.

In Madison, Wisconsin, there are two OD's and one has all of the above and more on clearance, the other has none and it was like pulling eye teeth to get a price match out of them. Jerks work there. The one neat thing I did score was a bunch of Logitech Optical mice at $15.88. these are the Special Edition Red mice of the 2nd generation optical just like the blue ones you see all over the place. these mice are great!!!

Actually that is just a throttle control. By Z-axis I mean rudder controls (like the Sidewinder Precision 2 where the X-axis is forward and back, the Y-axis is side to side, and the Z-axis is twisting or rudder control). The throttle is a separate control.

Damn. Still $49.99 at my Winston-Salem OD. I remember them blowing them out many moons ago, along with Sidewinder Game Voices, but now are back in stock at a high price. Oh well, I will keep watching.
