OD cd-rw discs, $12.95/30 pack

I visited OD today and stumbled across a closeout deal on cd-rw 1x-4x discs. Price was $12.95 for a 30 pack on a spindle, OD brand. This was in Florence Ky (greater Cincinnati) store. Mfg. list price on reciept is $83.99.They seemed to have a decent supply of them. Item number on reciept is 075149219901.

nice price for cdrws. But fyi these 4x discs, unlike cdrs will only burn at 4x even though the rewrite speed on some burners are 10x. You have to get media that is rated at 10x to actually write at 10x for cdrws.

I've never actually used a CD-RW disc in my life...why bother when CD-Rs are so cheap?

If you have to do regular backups of any sort, they are nice to have around.

For instance, I use Quicken and every time I use the program, I backup my data. With a CD-R, I'd have to go through making a new compilation, whereas with the CD-RW, all I do is click backup and point it to my CD-RW drive and it just acts like a big floppy.

4x seems to work at higher speeds for many according to a lot of discussions on various forums. I forgot to add that these are OD lifetime guarantee for whatever that is worth. Might also serve as good item to fill out for $50 on $10 off coupons floating around.
