OD pricematch freebies

I just saw some games in the Best Buy flier that should be freebies at OD after pricematch. BB has the following games for $2.99:

Axis & Allies
Clue
Star Trek: Birth of the Federation

Offhand, I don't know what OD's price is on these, but I doubt it's less than $10. Also, BB had these two other games listed for $9.99:

Mechwarrior 3
Wheel of Fortune

Again, I don't know what OD's price is, though I typically see MW3 selling for $19.99, which would give you an after-pricematch price of $4.50.

artemis67: good find, i'll check out OD tommorow.

anazoal: don't know about your experience, but I never had a pricematching problems at OD. Even when deals were WAY TO GOOD. Manager would just look shocked, but I would always get what I want.

Yea, maybe it varies by locale, but at least in the Atlanta area the OD's are the best.
Now, Office Max is a differerent story. It seems like I always get grief from those guys and they seem to be for the most part unfriendly.

Staples is pretty good (B&M stores) though they don't 155% PM.

OD always says hi when I walk in and bye when I leave (I'm sure they are told to do that) Maybe it's a sad testament to how much money I spend with them but they know me by name at the nearest store.

It will be a sad day when the curtain falls on their Low Price Guarantee(probably real soon)!

I have saved a ton of money (or spent a ton depending on how you look at it) from OD on LPG's and clearance items!

Anazoal made that comment because OD is supposed to be discontinuing there price matching policy along with OM real soon. They may have already stopped it. Let us know if you have luck. Thanks.

I went by both OD and BB today.

Yes, pricematching is still on at OD. They had a big sign about it stuck to the front of the customer service desk. I don't know when it ends, but they seem to have taken the pricematch page off of their website.

The only game I could find at OD was Mechwarrior 3, priced at $19.99; pricematched price was $4.50. (Incidentally, I noticed that they finally put Phantom Menace and Pod Racer back on the shelves, still at $29.99...they had yanked 'em after I got them free last time. )

The BB $2.99 games were indeed $2.99, not a misprint as someone stated in another thread. All three games were sold out, but my wife was able to get a rain check.

great find, wish I liked those games. then I would install them instead of sticking them in a desk drawer.
moto 2 is great, if only a could learn to drive.
mech 3 is probably OK, anyone know if these games are any good?

cisco: Mechwarrior 3 is fun, I played the demo. If you've never played a MW game before, you may find the learning curve a little steep.

Of course, there's always fleaBay, too.

my local OD sells mechwarrior for $39.99!!! Though they were out, I would have gotten the game for free, plus $5 bucks!!!

My OD sells V3 3k for $149.99, with pricematch, I could get it for $73.99 or so, minus the mail in rebate= $43

I would get it, and they said that they will pricematch, but I already have the card, in both my computers, so I would buy it, in case I get another pc, or maybe to sell it to someone else, but I don't have any proof that someone would buy a card that's so old. Otherwise, I can just nail it to the wall and admire the nice aluminum heatsink . Maybe I should get it, in case if mine fails, but I don't know if that will happen, even if one of my rams are generic.
