OD Requiring bar code coupons for pickup or delivery - anyone can confirm?

I picked up my DDR ram order today and clerk asked me for the coupon. Before I could give him an excuse he said he called me "last night" to tell me to bring it but got no answer. That's when I showed him my order printout and asked him how he could have possibly called me since my order was placed well after the B&M store was closed.

He told me he would make an exception "this time", but in the future I'd have to bring the coupon.

Ive got my order set for delivery tomorrow, used the same $15 off $30 as well....

I received my Maxtor 80GB drive 30 minutes ago via UPS. Driver never asked for the coupon, even though I used the same $15 off $30. Office Depot must be the most inconsistant company I know.

Ah finally I catch a break, my OD is pretty lax, I'm on a first name basis with one of the weekend workers, they never hassle me about coupons, now my staples on the other hand was like the first store in the COUNTRY to stop accepting coupons on PM's.

Of course, once OD sees their sales drop to 1/2 of what they're getting now, they'll likely reverse their decision on this!

Here's something to muddy their water some......today, in my e-mail, I received one from ebates, telling me about a $20 off of $75 coupon code being offered through their website. So tell me how I can give them a "barcoded coupon" from that one??

Seems to me that this was something thought up by some corporate weenie, who's bucking for another promotion. Wonder what the chances for that are, when thier gross sales numbers drop?? LMAO

OD just cancelled my order. After calling about 6 times and totally wasting my time the CS just told me, "oh, you have multiple accounts under your name..." Then after a long pause nothing. They had no excuse why they had cancelled my order. OD is getting worse and worse as time goes by...

It's probably not a problem if you don't use the same coupon multiple times at the same location. Just pay full price for those Vanilla Ice CDs instead. :music:

They sure won't be able to get a coupon code from me. My college has a central pickup place for the dorms where the packages are delivered and then we have to go get them after they give us a pickup slip. Even if I had the physical coupon I wouldn't be able to give it to the actual driver.

LOL!!! There are no ODs in Arizona anymore, so they'd have to have the UPS guy get the coupon from me (yeah, right!!!) or else drive here from one of the other states to get it from me.
