Check the Web site for your normal hours. My store is not diverging from that (8AM), so I don't see why any of them would, though it's possible.

well......I already got myself 2 clie + 1 digicam/ printer deal + 1 17"LCD and 1 CDRW.
All I have to do is go to OD sometimes Sat. to get my money back...

Hmmmm.... interesting. The store closes to me listed M-F 7am-9pm. But this is normal hour. Not BF hour.
The ad didn't mention anything about a 6hrs sales like BestBuy or Fry's or others.
I guess I will have to drop by around 5:30am and see if anyone line up. grrrrr.... :|

I have found that some of the retailers don't display certain "hot BF items" ahead of time. I for one was totally taken by surprise by this "mystery LCD" that appeared in todays paper (ad).

Went back to OD with printout of Staples website with this drive for $129.99 and managed to get it price matched.....

So I got it for $158.99 - $30 MIR - $40 MIR - $21 (PRICEMATCH) = ~$67.99

Picked up a couple of 25 pack Imation 4X +R DVD. They were $49.99 buy one get one free. It was limit one per customer so I couldn't use my OD coupon that I had gotten in the mail. May go back tomorrow and pick up one of the Maxtor 160 drives and use the coupon to get it for $64.99 ARs. Will probably pick up more of the Imation +Rs. They Id'd as RICOHJPNR01 which is as good as it gets. The same discs currently as Verbatim, Memorex, and TDK. $1 a disc is as cheap as they come lately.

My local OD opened at 7 am and the other one about 10 miles from me opened at 6. Doh! I was lucky enough to pick up the Liteon burner and use a coupon for $75. Not a bad deal. I also picked up the Motorola radios for $20 AR and the DVD+R's. OD was NOTHING like BB today. That place was a freaking madhouse. It's the worst that it's been on BF in the past 4 years at least.

You got some nice items at great prices. OD here in So Cal. was easy compared to BB here also. Others said at 4:45 a.m. there was no place to park at our local BB.And the line there had already wrapped around the building! OD CSR's were very polite and there was no crowd. conehead, did you read the cdfreaks review of the LiteOn relative to the RICOHJPNR01 media? There were some troubling and slightly confusing results there about it. In terms of numbers, it fell well behind the Verbatim's (TY and Mitsubishi Chemicals), but I'm wondering what this is supposed to mean:

"These discs [RICOHJPNR01] work well as well, but we have seen better results from other drives, so there is room for improvements. Also notice that this drive is very picky about ricohjpnr01 discs unlike other drives, it works well with some types only ? the rest it do not work so well with."

They work flawlessly in my Optorite, and the last time I had bought any, the Verbatim's were the
RICOHJPNR01. Not sure about the Lite-On drive though. It may be that the drive is the problem. Could just need a firmware fix if has problems with these discs.

I ended up getting the Sony Clie at OD. The salesperson told me that if you purchase a extended warranty, for the first year that is covered under the MANUFACTURER warranty, that if the Clie breaks (including if the glass breaks), that you can exchange it for a new one on the spot when you bring the defective one in. Now I highly doubt this, but can anyone shed any light or experiences on this?

Mine was mailed to me. I'm not aware of any printable coupons online unfortunately.

The Liteon has problems with the Ricoh media? Great, considering that it's the only media that I own. I haven't installed my drive yet because I'm not sure what to do with it yet. I guess I should give it a try.

I don't know that it has any problems with anything. Someone had mentioned that a forum elsewhere
had made some claim in rgard to the RICOH media and the Lite-On. As far as I am concerned the RICOH discs are just about the best you can get now for the money. So don't worry about it. Try it for yourself. Install your drive, but go to Lite-On's website and download the latest firmware and flash the drive with it. And you wanted to, you could report back about not having any problems with the RICOH discs.
