Odd Number on CID

I got this number on my caller ID.
770-555-0001
I tried redialing it. Won't go through. No match on reverse lookup or Google. Any ideas?

Area Code is atlanta, I know because I live there. Never saw a 555 before though.

555 is the dialing prefix movies use.

if you dial any area code + 555 + any 4 digits, it's goes directly to information IIRC.

This means the caller ID can not tell the phone nuber,except the area code.

prob a telemarketer,calling from a "trunk line",

Trunk line is where a buisness has like 50 outgoing lines,and the first available one is the one used for an outgoing call,vs the # at that persons desk.

Supposed to save money/time for the place.

Makes it tough to track which phone made the call,for you and I.

well, I thought it may have been like from a time before when like a 680 something number came up, it was outsourced telemarketing and 680 had to do with the country code from which I was being called.

if I dial even 1-770 right after I finish the zero I get a "not completed as dialed' message.

My friend can enter fake numbers to call from that'll show on CID. I don't know how he does it and I didn't ask him, but he called me once and entered a 555-5555 for the phone number. So, given that that's possible, someone is probably just messing with you.
