CCBWE if I"m not mistaken is supposed to be able to hit 2.4 easy on air, usually max at around .7-.9 air. I cant seem to get the proc to clock past 2.1, and anything close to 2.1 is unstable. I can't get the fsb past 235 stable on any timings or multipliers. Spent about a month tweaking and testing with no luck while studying overclocking guides from dfi-street and sharky's at the same time and filled up a whole page of notebook paper front and back with settings. Again I tried various voltages, loose timings, and multipliers. Could a midrange psu really cost me 700mhz overclock? Anyone with similar setups? What did you use for multi/fsb? heres a screen (sorry small):

Not completely sure, I can find out tomorrow. yeah I know chips can be bad but I've never heard of a 165 even being close to this bad of a clock which is why I figured I was doing something wrong. Edit: Kinda rediculous because I had a 144 that couldn't get past 2.2 but that was because I had crap ram and motherboard, figured with quality parts I could at least squeeze 2.4 out of a 165.

Maybe your HTT link is to slow? you've only got it at 450 something.. Pretty sure you normally want that at alteast 600 if not 800.

Your Vcore is way too low. 1.39V is stock - bump it up to 1.42-1.45V and see how far you can go.

Remember to drop your LDT multiplier to 3X or 4X in the BIOS, and up the LDT voltage by +0.2V .

Drop the memory multiplier to remove it from the equation, too.
