I just purchased a new video card about 2 weeks ago: BFG 8800GTS OC2 640MB and ever since I installed it in my system, the information on the screen at boot time scrolls in a jerky fashion and the screen refreshes very slowly. Once I get into Windows, things are ok. Performance is still sub-par, but I'm chalking that up to Vista.
I thought it might be a power problem, but I have a 550w power supply and the power to the video card is connected properly. Mobo bios has been updated to the latest release. Everything worked fine with my BFG 7600 card, so I'm wondering if there is a problem with the new card or if this is normal behaviour for the higher end cards.
