The democrats either need to do it, or STFU about it.

At this point it's clear he won't step down. A contested/wild convention is the last thing they want, I think they will begrudgingly fall in line and try to salvage some sense of cohesion moving forward.

Never thought I'd say this but you're smarter than you sound!

Though you need to have a bit more faith in the cause of a fallen hero who martyrs himself for a cause.

The Democrats can't make Biden become sane and reasonable.

He has to be willing to make a speech stepping aside and passing the torch to Kamala. We can't make a demented old man do the right thing.

If his crazy ass wants to take this to the convention, it's going to be a shit show.

But as you see he does have his cultists. They are the minority but they are fucking loud and crazy. His inner circle is very small and they are even crazier.
Why do you think you know this? Is it because you yourself can't hear reason and are thus compelled to think that of others?

Hilariously enough, biden didn't "lose" the debate as Trump lied about everything. If you think Trump won then you gave zero fucks abojt the substance and you want a geriatric bikini contest. Thanks for being part of the problem.
Did you even watch the debate? Joe wasn't forming coherent sentences at all. Trump was being Trump and that got him elected in 2016 and likely will in 2024. We need at least Biden of 2020 not someone that can't even kind of make a case for themselves.

There's always a range of opinions on stuff like this. And no doubt DJT lied his fucken ass off, but there is no universe where that debate was a "tie" with no winners. I don't quite agree with the media frenzy that immediately ensued (my lasting memory is Van Jones looking like his mom just died), but Biden's performance was very bad. If you compare Trump's night to their first debate in 2020 when he was an unhinged lunatic, he actually had a good night. I realize that's "grading on a curve," but coupled with Joe's very poor performance, DJT clearly "won" the night. Not so much for you or me who actually care about the truth, but imagine oneself as an "independent" who watched the debate from western PA.

I don't think Biden's going to be the nominee no matter what. He is too far fucking gone.

If Biden and his little inner circle of psychos go full wacko on this. It's going to be a fucked up convention, but Biden won't be the nominee.

But then we might still lose. all because of Joe Biden. Literally who most of his party didn't want him to run again, and many of us talked about his clear decline, that it could turn into a mess.

And here we are. And these fucking die hard lunatics want to shit on the people that called this happening? Y'all are a detriment to the party right now, and to defeating Trump.

You're deluded. He has the delegates required.

He can easily go to court if he is blocked

The simple fact is that you don't think he will be the nominee. That's the end of it. All the rest of your spewing is horse shit. The fact is your opinion is only your opinion and is totally worthless. You will not be making the decisions as to who will or will not run. Your arrogance is showing, I think.

The convention exists for the selection of a candidate.
Primaries are a party function, and mean nothing until confirmed by the party at the convention.
The people at the convention can still choose anyone, including Joe Biden.

I was an instrument technician callled out for sewage treatment plants and water plants and a certified mechanic ........if I screwed up, folks would break down in their cars or homes would be flooded with toilets overflowing with sewage ... You need to be like a detective instead of a parts changer ..... I research polititians pasts way back and see how they voted ..... you would be surprised how many of them changed their stance according to the way the country was was going and thinking.......... do some research before you vote.... research the economy for the last 20 years and who was in charge ..... Put your emotions aside and do what is best for all of us

Err, what? This IS NOT a general election thread.
I feel like those words would best fit one of those.

In regards to the Democrat Primary, to "do what is best for all of us" is a rather difficult position to determine at this point. I personally think we NEED someone who is physically capable of speaking and campaigning. Call me crazy, but our chosen leader needs to actually be capable of contending with and OPPOSING Trump and his MAGA agenda.

The man who did that four years ago is no longer with us today.

For those who've gone full ostrich on this matter. My own dad behaves the same way as grandpa does and I wouldn't want him running a lawn mower much less a country. Joe's condition was kept hidden until it wasn't and that is criminal on its own. If this had been made known before the primary the results would probably have been different.

This is worse than dieselgate. They got by until they were discovered and then it all hit the fan.

They both lost, that's the real problem.

If Biden isn't the clear winner (which he isn't), populism will rule the day.

Yeah, excitement for the candidate is just the worst thing the Democrats could have right now. We all remember how poorly excitement for a candidate went in '08.

I disagree. I was getting grief over a year ago in this forum for calling out Joe's decline. It's been obvious that he's failing and most people chose to ignore it. It was politically expedient to pretend that Joe was all together and that lead to the current clusterfuck the democrats are experiencing.
Pretending that this was all a huge surprise that no one saw coming is absurd.

Biden doesn't have the stamina for this election cycle. He can't even participate in a friendly interview without messing things up. HIs ability to make complete coherent sentences is rapidly declining. Just watch him after he's asked a question and those eyes go to batting because nonsense soon follows.

Trump will maul him in the next debate. Any subsequent interviews will only accentuate his condition. The guy can barely walk and when he does its the robot shuffle. We the people need a fully functioning president and Joe is not that guy anymore.

Its well past time to take the car keys away from him.
