Just to be clear, you aren't equating illegal immigrants with HAMAS are you? I cant speak for the leaders of Israel, but I bet the thousand plus (and their extended families) who were raped, brutalized and slaughtered by HAMAS in the initial attack would like to see them go away.
He said the Israeli ultra right, not everyday Israelis, and I think he is right.

The point is that Republicans and the far right in Israel are happy to perpetuate problems for electoral advantage, even as they claim to hate these problems. The two problems are super different but are both examples of political cynicism.

to save some time. I am referring to my post #4,707 in the specific Forum Topic about Israel's response to Oct. 7

remember 2018 when Palestinians were marching toward the wall of Gaza.

Israeli snipers were not restrained in 2018 as far as I know.

And there are credible reports that Israel was warned by at least one other neighboring Nations intelligence personnel prior to Oct. 7. in the weeks following the attack.

Egypt warned Israel days before Hamas struck, US committee chairman says BBC news website story.

as well as a later report seeming to confirm that Israel should have had enough of a warning to be more prepared.

Hamas being a group of militants they are not the entirety of the Palestinian population in parts of Israel and Palestinians have tried non violence before. as reported by DemocracyNow.

Also ldo an internet search on the number of Palestinians killed vs the numbers of Israelis killed over the past few decades...
I think that one would find that just based on the death tolls suffered by either side that Palestinians have a greater solely numerical argument for grievances than Israel.

Israel is going for a regional record it seems since Oct. 07

Now I know that some people cast doubt on the Hamas numbers of reported dead. Fair Enough Hamas is an armed organization that is involved in violence.

However there is this report from the Lancet
The Lancet: Gaza’s True Death Toll Could Be 186,000 or Higher

_______________
If we are considering all deaths caused by the existence of the conflict itself then Hamas bears a heavy responsibility as well.

I think Israel’s conduct in this war has gone far beyond what can be justified but when you go into someone’s country and torture, rape, and murder 1000+ people and then say ‘I can’t wait to do it again’ you’re going to get a military response, and rightly so.

Trump campaign seems to be expecting some bad campaign news.

They are already coming in. Overall results are better than Biden, but still within the margin of error (44% Harris to 42% Trump):
In the same poll last week, Biden was 2% behind Trump, but still within the margin of error.

Harris does do quite well with areas that Biden did poorly.
Some 56% of registered voters agreed with a statement that Harris, 59, was "mentally sharp and able to deal with challenges," compared to 49% who said the same of Trump, 78.
Only 22% of voters assessed Biden that way.

Just as other countries and an International Court will make their responses toward a despicable person as Netanyahu has shown himself to be and to use your phrase...

And Rightly So

A business insider report on possible escalations. Don't murder people should be the operative rule.

Now yes the Haaretz paper maybe a left leaning news source but I doubt that they love Hamas to death as some people who are critical of Netanyahu have been accused of doing...

IDF Ordered Hannibal Directive on October 7 to Prevent Hamas Taking Soldiers Captive

Documents obtained by Haaretz, as well as testimonies of soldiers, mid-level and senior IDF officers, reveal a host of orders and procedures laid down by the Gaza Division, Southern Command and the IDF General Staff up to the afternoon hours of that day, showing how widespread this procedure was, from the first hours following the attack and at various points along the border.

Haaretz does not know whether or how many civilians and soldiers were hit due to these procedures, but the cumulative data indicates that many of the kidnapped people were at risk, exposed to Israeli gunfire, even if they were not the target.

the actual article is behind a paywall. if you wish to not pay the fee to view the text I quoted there are ways... but I think I should say no more about that.

Correct. Far Right groups use things like immigration and terrorism to grasp power. It's practically in the dictator for dummies handbook.

A leader of a conservative Southern Baptist Christian group complimented Biden on resigning. They fired him for it but reneged 48 hours later. These people are so flustered.

Ahhh…the good ole Southern Baptists. The denomination that said slavery was good for the slaves and didn’t repudiate their support for slavery until 1995.

Russia gives no fucks

True, but then Kamala can have the NSA and others give a reciprocal amount of fucks for specific Russian computers and networks.

Maybe we get some really high grade Alina Kabaeva "work out tapes" on the web all of a sudden in response. She's rrreally flexible you know.

That’s the rub, she needs to be President to do that.

I don't want to handwave the border as a non-issue. It certainly is. But I think it's far more noise than signal. It's bait.

I live 1100 miles from the Mexican border and the MAGAT's trying to primary in WA-3 against Glutenkamp Perez are trying to outfroth each other over the border. And dragging her in it.

I'm sorry but if someone living in Washington state's biggest problem is border security.... Either you have nothing else to complain about or you're just not even trying to solve anything.
Perception is reality.

A lot of American adults are shit talking the national economy because post-pandemic prices are high and will never reset to old levels (and because structurally, Reaganomics has been an abject failure). Meanwhile, our macroeconomy is the envy of virtually all of our peers.

In other words, a lot of low information voters make ballot box decisions based on the noise.

I don't disagree... and I guess my point is... if all you are doing is pandering to noise...then you just wasted time you should be spending on real issues.

But you know this too. It's just more GOP fear mongering as a platform with no actual plan or desire to govern.

Well in 2023, Ron Death Santis all but called chattel slavery a jobs program. 🤯

Strong US Economy

There is a reason the magats stopped talking stock market, unemployment, gdp or that inflation is nearing target and that the US is very strong compared to other nations. Doesn’t fit their narrative.

See greenman. I posted link to actual objective data. Not your anecdotal confirmation bias bullshit.

Anyone saying the border issue is important to them can be reminded that Republicans blocked their own border bill specifically because they didn't want the issue fixed because then they couldn't hammer Democrats about the border.

Lawmaker flags concern over X users being blocked from following Harris.

After some users on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, were blocked from following Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign account in recent days, members of the House Judiciary Committee aired concerns that the platform might be censoring political speech.

In a letter to Representative Jim Jordan, Republican of Ohio and the committee’s chair, Representative Jerrold Nadler, Democrat of New York and the ranking member, wrote: “X may be intentionally throttling or blocking Vice President Harris’s ability to communicate with potential voters. If true, such action would amount to egregious censorship based on political and viewpoint discrimination.”

Biden doesn't have to worry about being reelected for thing one, and he has the same immunity deal the SCOTUS blessed Trump with as thing two, so with the exception of hurting Kamala and the down voting, shouldn't he take maximum advantage of these freedoms he's been given and really go for broke on accomplishing the goals he's been meaning to get done executive order-wise?

Apparently voters don’t attribute inflation to Harris.

I mean, Republicans have been claiming for years that she isn't doing anything, isn't getting anything accomplished, etc. Hard to say now that she was the mastermind behind all our problems, yeah?

Already gotten some people in trouble, I imagine trying it with a president wouldn't go well.

She could make sure the Epstein files go public, give the right wing maga pervs some real deviancy to amuse themselves with.
Rule 34 has been around forever, I really don't understand how AI really changes that legally. But I guess legal isn't necessarily "smart."

There are definitely Independents and women included in that group, who may have thought of voting for Trump if he picked a moderate VP, such as say Nikki Haley.

Also by choosing another misogynist pig some women thinking of just not voting may become more motivated to vote against that ticket.
Hopefully it'll wake up some women that are wish casting on Trump. Women that believed Ivanka's speech in 2016.
