What's funny is how sometimes you'll decide that you absolutely can't comment on legal matters unless it's been decided in a court of law. Well Trump has already been convicted for some of his many crimes, Biden has not. Yet here you are, still with this 'both sides' nonsense.
Shit the highly motivated GOP can’t even dig up enough to impeach Biden despite being desperate to do so. The “most damaging” evidence they have doesn’t even pass the smell test in their own caucus. @Greenman trying to both sides corruption is just ignoring reality.

As someone who's bedded over a 1000 people.. I'll let you in on a little secret.

Sexual chemistry with someone > hots/ infatuation for someone.

And you should never be in a long term relationship with someone when sexual chemistry feels fleeting/ non existant/ low. That's the quickest way to shoot your own dick without actually doing it!
Edit: Eh, I suppose I'll reconsider your post. But I don't think it's universal advice, I think it should be considered as coming from the perspective of someone who has bedded over 1000 people giving advice on long term relationships.

Looks like roughly 90% here still put Biden's chance of stepping away at 50% or less, with a majority sticking with 0%. I have to admit that one one level, the whole Weekend at Bernie's schtick is entertaining. It seems to be an extension of the concept that it's perfectly fine for unelected bureaucrats to run everything; they are well-educated specialists after all, even if we don't know anything about them.

they don't want to impeach him now that is for sure.

We liked the poll numbers when he was above Trump though, didn't we?

I mean it depends on the actual question asked (along with the sampling). But most of these ones where a large % show as wanting someone else seem to be highly misleading or fantasy land. "Would you prefer a younger candidate?" is a really leading question, and to be honest, I'm surprised it never gets closer to 100%. Those "perfect vs the good" framed surveys don't really tell us much ...

And, most polls are pure shit. They've been WILDLY wrong all up and down the spectrum for a least the last several years. I think mostly because almost no one with an above room temp IQ answers the phone from a # they don't recognize.

Evaporating D political support, crashing fundraising, and his own campaign officials who think he cannot recover.

Even if Biden doesn't agree that he'll necessarily lose why would you want to continue under these circumstances when you can wash your hands of it and sit on the beach in Delaware instead?

So Biden's chances are zero but Kamala's will be >50%?

Still think he suffered a fall or father time simply started to gain steam, fast. They prob didn't think he'd appear this old until a couple years into his 2nd term.

To be clear I don't think Biden's chances, even now, are zero.

I can actually sort of see the path to Biden passing the torch to Kamala at this point. I was originally in the 0% camp but now I’m 50/50

I’m not certain she’d fair any better than him in the election, and could very well do worse, but I think she would do a better job campaigning. Let Biden focus on being president for these last 6 months. And the Trump team would have to learn a new attack strategy

Hopefully there is full closure either way after the democratic convention and everyone can unite around the candidate. I don’t really have a preference at this point. I think the idea or an open convention would be insane though and should be avoided.

I'm moving in this direction as well, with slight differences.

He's been irreparably harmed by the public airing of all this dirty laundry. There is no amount of public appearances/campaigning that will assuage the newborn critics. There will always be something "wrong" with whatever event he's at.

The difference I have is that he should immediately step aside and resign as president allowing Harris to run as the incumbent. If he's not fit to campaign (according to critics) then he's not fit to be in office. Even though he's done a remarkable job, historically speaking.

I think the attack strategy they'd use would come quite natural to them.

Yeah if they go that natural instinct route I think it will backfire on them for sure in the election. Sure their base will be happy but that's not enough to win. It would also really motivate Democrats of all ages including the younger dams who basically don't like Biden much at all

This is great news. Having faith in the Democrats again that they know what to do to go beat that piece of total shit and evil that is the Trump and Trump party. It seems they were giving Biden the time to bow out gracefully, but will be applying the screws when he gets back from the NATO conference. The Dems are seeing the writing on the wall, thank god. I hope somehow Biden and his team decide to not make this a bigger spectacle than it has to be.

Biden's candidacy is a massive crisis. I think voters will see this as an ability to handle the really tough crisis situations by the Dems and make those tough choices for the American people.

I have seen a bunch of posts by Biden Anon members that they will refuse to vote for anyone but Biden with no exceptions for where they live or anything.

I think they will vote for Kamala in the fall though.

I don't have any issues with Dems pressuring Biden to step aside.

But once that decision is made by Biden, either staying the course or handing the torch to Kamala, the dem machine needs to go full force supporting the candidate. No more infighting. No more complaining. Just 100% fuck trump energy. The last couple of months are the most important.

Approx 0.1% chance of high unity if Biden accepts the nomination at the DNC.

Two more D house reps said he should quit the race in like the last 5 minutes. Possibility of many more following after the NATO summit concludes seems real.
