I'm seeing reports online that the Biden campaign is insisting he is the only one that can beat Trump, And they are doing Harris v Trump polling to hopefully show that she is a mistake and it has to be Biden.

Unbelievable. They hid so much about Biden's decline to the people And to powerful Democrats. Doesn't look like Biden will do the right thing and step down and pass the torch before the Republican convention. Unless a miracle happens. Him and his team have lost the fucking plot.

Also donor funding has fallen off the cliff. I did also read an analysis that the so-called 30 million that came in after the debate is a number that's easily manipulated. It's normal to include already expected donations that come in and roll them into that number. It's literally just a part of how campaign financing announcements work .There's a very good chance that 30 million all being post debate is complete bullshit.

Do you know if the issue is major or perhaps more minor decline, too heavy a workload, etc. because the matter of Biden's age and stuttering makes him an easy mark for the Republican effort to paint him as a dotard. As I said yesterday, it’s a dereliction of his duty if the WH Dr is ignoring cognitive issues. It’s a dereliction of Harris’s duty if she didn’t 25A him. It’s a dereliction of his cabinet if they didn’t push Harris to do something.

I'm moving in this direction as well, with slight differences.

He's been irreparably harmed by the public airing of all this dirty laundry. There is no amount of public appearances/campaigning that will assuage the newborn critics. There will always be something "wrong" with whatever event he's at.

The difference I have is that he should immediately step aside and resign as president allowing Harris to run as the incumbent. If he's not fit to campaign (according to critics) then he's not fit to be in office. Even though he's done a remarkable job, historically speaking.

I thought that initially too, and it hypothetically could give her an incumbent bump but I think it would be too much of a burden on Kamala to assume the duties of president while simultaneously starting up a campaign. She’ll really need to be able to focus on campaigning given the short time until the election

Biden could easily explain it away with “with my age, it’s too much for me to run a campaign and perform the duties of president at the same time.” And how letting Kamala run will let him focus on finishing out his term

And she’s still VP if he really goes downhill and they need to invoke the 25th before Jan 6th, she’s become president anyway

But once that decision is made by Biden,either staying the course or handing the torch to Kamala, the dem machine needs to go full force supporting the candidate. No more infighting. No more complaining. Just 100% fuck trump energy. The last couple of months are the most important.
