No this is America.

There is no shame, no embarrassment.

But Biden deserves to lose. Yes I'll vote for him but he deserves to lose because a real man would have dealt with all the traitors and not hid behind law and order excuses.

Do what must be done Lord Vader. Do not hesitate. Show no mercy.
WTF do you have in mind, forget the Hollywood references, what exactly do you mean? Biden appointed Jack Smith, was he not good enough? Biden couldn't appear to be driving the prosecution of Donald Trump concerning his instigating the insurrection, it's the Justice Department's job. Aileen Cannon is a goddamn disgrace handling the case of Trump's classified documents fiascos, she was chosen at random, never mind the fact she was a Trump appointee. What are you saying?

I think Indus is ready for that "national divorce"... Just be happy he is not an accelerationist as well (that would be voting Trump)

Listen if people think this is about one debate then they're just completely wrong. Number two the media also is a lot of the coverage but as we see it's legitimate. And all those nice things that we want that you mention are going to go bye-bye because elections happen around candidates. and right now we don't have a good one. this is about beating Trump
I'm not the least bit convinced that Joe isn't the most capable Democrat in defeating Trump.

What exactly do I mean?

Treat them like we treated the Al Quaida/ Taliban - who were the enemies of the state. Throw em in Gitmo for 20 odd years!

But they let a Republican President whatever he wants but not a Dem President.

Yeah, I've said it before, but when he was still in the primary stages and assured the audience his penis was of adequate size, I couldn't believe it had sunk so low.
What a sweet summer child I was 😥
His career as a politician should have been over in 2015 when he made fun of a disabled reporter. For the most part, I lost faith in our country at that point.

Well my political instincts were correct, before Biden chose to run again. All my reasoning was logical and rational (not just doomsday prophesying like egg man) - using Biden's super low popularity at the time, which I didn't see getting much better, his approval and disapproval ratings, his own party not wanting him to run again, and what to me were the clear signs of his decline, which at his age, were way too risky to gamble on due to the stakes at hand. Well, really, any presidential race is high stakes, but let alone this one. I got shit on constantly for saying Biden was not the best choice for sure, and to think so was selling the Dem party so so short, because if he was the best choice, that didn't say much about the party. On top of that, I predicted that the odds were way too high of this exact situation happening.

Feel free to send me drink tickets, jars of kimchi, or hot sauces, as way of apology. God bless America, and god bless your hearts.

We now have the best chance to beat Trump in months, that is when Biden steps down or goes out of the race however it happens.

This was all so we can defeat Trump, and take both chambers back, and win as many downballot races as possible, all the way down to dogcatcher.

While I don't think I should ever be behind a microphone for a campaign, as I get overly excitable and passionate about this stuff which can turn into some meanness, I should probably be a consultant for the Dems

I'm gonna put on my tinfoil hat and just say I don't believe "all the calls to Congressional Dems offices" demanding that Biden step down. I'm sure some are, but not to the extent that's being reported. Or many are GOP voters.

This is the decision of a lifetime and nothing I have seen from Kamala Harris since 2020 makes me think that all of a sudden she will carry the blue wall. She is simply not liked. So it's not that I'm opposed to Biden stepping down, it's just that it's a total unknown of an abyss in terms of what comes next.

The right will absolutely hammer her as DEI, failed border czar, etc etc. Thr swift boating will be insane.

She is a VP, they are not supposed to over shadow POTUS. The conservatives have spent 3+ years pushing a narrative that she is not liked. Yes Conservatives don't like her and what she stands for. She is a successful well educated woman of color and that makes conservative white males feel inadequate about themselves. So they need to use every opportunity to tear her down.

If he’s really gonna Leeroy Jenkins this thing, the raid group better have their shit together through the whole fucking instance.

Leeroy wasn't the first leeroy. It was the first recorded Leeroy.

The original honor goes to someone named Davood..

While I was the raid leader and briefing.. his keyboard supposedly got stuck and he ran into the boss aggro range, but boss instead of whacking him, went instantly aggro on healers and bards.. killed them, then the tanks and finally the rest of us.

We definitely didn't have our shit together back in 1999 Everquest Rathe Server.

But you're right.. time to hit discipline, weaponshield, stonewall, defensive and just hunker down!

You've spent nearly a year telling us that Joe Biden is a disaster in the making, but now you're getting cold feet? 🤣

Dems are left with no good options, unfortunately. Sometimes perception is reality, and Harris has always polled poorly with the American electorate. We have boomers in this thread who swear they always vote (D) for president; but suggest they (or others like them) will decline to vote for the next POTUS if Harris is the nominee. If that's the case, what do independents in swing states do?

Having said that, Biden has lagged in the polls for a long time and it's hard to argue with a straight face that he isn't mired in a trailing campaign. And more importantly, one that he can't credibly fix because his age is not fixable. The absolute best he could do is to be perfect in public appearances, but yesterday he proved that bar is just too high to clear. More importantly, elected Dems fear is contagious and he's losing internal support rapidly. I don't think it's up to Joe Biden anymore whether he stays or steps aside. It still feels close to a 50/50 but IMHO it depends on whether he can avoid the dam breaking. If the most senior elected Dems (and Barack Obama) press down on the scales, it doesn't matter what Joe and Jill want anymore.

Think Obama knows 1 choice is cancer and the other is cyanide. He'll go for cancer -- keeping Joe medicated and hoping for the best!

Thank you. I fucking hate the anti-harris sentiment. I challenge anyone, yet again, to name more than a handful of things that any VP has done in US history, without looking it up. They're an insurance policy.

Harris is scandal free, knows capitol hill, has a name everyone recognizes, and has been the second hand to the executive for 4 years. What the fuck else do you need on the resume? For Republicans to like her?

You know.. in the last 2 weeks.. Biden has gotten so much free publicity that Trump got in 2016. With him being a gaffe machine.. they keep sticking to him and they think he's the clown this cycle.

Everyone wants to see him make a gaffe. I've never seen anyone take the spotlight away from Trump so much that I think he can actually outtrump Trump this time.

The voters seem to be solidifying behind him even if the dem establishment is not. And ultimately who do they answer to?

At least during the campaign they exist to counterbalance the ticket for some voters. There is a reason Obama picked Biden. Trump picked Pence because he needed to borrow the cred of a stalwart conservative fundie.

After the election they mostly get shelved and sent to open like a bolt factory every now and again or talk to social clubs.*

*Not applicable to VP's named Dick Cheney.

Anyway odds are that if Biden prevails Harris is gonna be president in a couple years.
