Here's a hint, there is no practical way to split up the United States along political lines. Even the concept of red and blue states is somewhat fictionalized; it's endless red counties and few populous blue (urban) counties. And even in your New York City, there are different neighborhoods. Are you forcing tens of millions of people to move to another state just because of political affiliation? Who stays and leaves in places like PA, MI and WI? And when people's politics change, they're forced to move?

I think a healthy chunk more of America really wants to repudiate Trump, than who don't, but they really really don't like their other choice, and they have very legitimate reasons to not like their choice IMO. I do think that if the Dems do the right thing sooner than later, Trump can be beaten much easier, but crucially, I think he can be beaten in significant numbers both popular vote wise and electorally. And also, downballot races. I don't think we will have a squeaker if the right thing happens. I think it will be a resounding rejection of Trump and Trumpism. Not a historic win like Reagan or anything so dominating like that, but a solid and powerful rejection of MAGA.

Pelosi is smart. I think she is just getting a lot of ducks in a row for a major get Biden off the ticket day that will be impossible for the Biden inner circle to reject so easily.
