My guess is no. If you order them in a bundle then mostly they'll come shipped in two different containers, one for mobo and another for cpu. Installing an AMD cpu into the socket is probably the least of your concerns. Mounting the heatsink on top if it would probably be trickier. If you're not careful you could crack the core or it could fried if it's not attached properly.

Yep those are good prices but I kept the retail version Duron 1.3 this is replacing for about 3 weeks. So odds are the 1800 XP will not be with me for that long.

Guy at work has been using TCWO for months now , he even got out main office (computer division) to start buying all thier replacement stuff from TCWO .
He has nothing but praise for them . I might buy something from them soon , as right now I don't really need anything . Ive been buying from newegg.com because you guys said how good a service they have been giving and Ive yet to be dissappointed .

Newegg has not been around forever. They have been around for a year maybe two. They also are a rip off of Mwave. I have been buying from TCWO since the mid 90's. Both companies have been good to me. TCWO has good toll free tech support.

It is best to hold out awhile here, what will happen is most of those CPU's will go out of stock quickly, then AMD will say they are in shortage and jack the prices up by 25%. After the hype is over they fall below what you are seeing them for now and the new processor will be released. BTW that new processor needs a new board, any sightings on these running the 333 clock for the processor?

AMD has soooo much inventory this could not happen. Besides check the stock price.

Hey guys need some info and help about the these. My comp is a 900Mhz AMD Thunderbird 256Ram.. performance wise.. how much faster/better would a XP2000 be? Would I be able to notice the difference very noticably?

Also do I need to know anything about compatibility issues?

I've only had two desktops, only have done harddrive upgrades..

Is the XP 2200 0.13 Micron Thoroughbred? ( I checked the TCWO AND the AMD websites for product specs: they both match EXCEPT on these two factors (0.13 Micron/ Thoroughbred)

Also, can we STILL call up and tell them about free shipping at Newegg? Has anybody given it a shot?

The XP 2200 is the Thoroughbred with a 0.13micron core, the old Athlon XPs of lower speeds are as of right now the 0.18 micron core (but they are also now exclusively being produced on the 0.13 micron core, they'll start showing up once AMD clears out all remaining inventory for the 0.18micron chips).

On the free shipping thing, why not buy from Nutrend.com? $152 shipped (Fedex Saver, same as Newegg) and it seems to be an up and coming company (but already a 7.89 out of 114 reviews).
