According to this page from Intel (http://support.intel.com/support/processors/sspec/p4p.htm), the OEM version of Northwood appears to use 20% less power than the retail version.
Also, the OEM versions have the footnote "These processors are limited to <= 45W Thermal Design Point.", although I'm not sure what that means...
Doesn't that mean we should all be trying to buy OEM processors instead of retail, or am I completely off?
