Don't worry too much about AGP Aperture Size. This is simply the amount of system RAM available to the graphics card should it run out of memory sometime.

Usually you'll want to set it at the half of your graphics card's total memory, but this is not a rule. You'll need to experiment around with the settings if you wish to get the optimal effects. Otherwise 64MB will be fine for you, really.

There is pretty much no change in performance from adjusting the apperture size. So if you are looking for performancethis is not the way to go. I have heard many conflicting reports anyways. Some have said 64MB is fastest while others say 256 is faster. I wouldn't worry about it as its not going to help you.

okay, thanks for the advice. but still what else can i do to my system to improve performace besides overclokcing or volting?

turn off un needed services, and turn settings down. Thats about it.

I have that same motherboard. You cannot set AGP aperture size in the BIOS. Nor can you set any voltages, timings, or anything of that nature.

Aperture size isn't supposed to be a big deal, and most in-depth reviews I've seen suggest 64-128 megs anyway. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Just keep your system clean and drivers up to date. I believe you can get an updated version of the BIOS (3.28) from HP's site.

even my aperture size was on 64MB before, n changing it to 256mb didnt help at all except on the Nalu demo where it was very laggy at first but after changing it, it SIGNIFICANTLY improved performance. i havent noticed any other improvement anywhere else....u dont have to worry about that
