I'm sure that has already been said but the woman should stop going to Starbucks

If I don't like what a business does I simply quit patronizing them

it's not a big deal. Sure she can not go there but I personally have a distaste for people who simply make a big deal out of everything.

As NFS4 said. "isn't In God We Trust on our monies OH NOESSS!!!!"

No. The term "Public Company" properly refers to any company that trades its shares on the open market.

Starbucks is a Public Company within the Private Sector.

You're confusing the term "Private Sector" with the term "Private Company". The first term refers to the collection of companies that are not owned by the government, the second is a specific, Financial, term that refers to any and all companies that do not offer stock for sale on the open market.

The mistake that you are making is very common (as evidenced by several other mis-informed posts within this thread), but that doesn't make it correct.

tough ******.

as humans, we question a lot of things. that's how we gather knowledge and wisdom of the universe.

thomas jefferson once said

"Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call on her tribunal for every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear."

even in the Bible it says to be questioning.

she is obviously a n00b.

Nice logic, but if you wanted to avoid that then you'd have to take into account all the possible opinions of everyone who ever uses your product/service incase you offended them.

Apparently He's apparently not great enough to teach you grammar and spelling.

Perhaps if you can formulate a cogent response someone will take you seriously, but as it is you haven't established a rational basis for your position.

It all comes down to freedom of speech. That woman is certainly entitled to her opinion about starbucks just as much as starbucks has a right to print what they want on their cups. I don't see why people have a problem with that. She's simply calling for a separation of church (or lack thereof) and coffee and is apparently willing to take her business elsewhere.

I think a better question than "Are you offended?" is "Do you find that printing inappropriate?".

I am NOT offended but I do find that they put that on a coffee cup inappropriate.

While I am Christian, I wouldn't really be offended, after all it said RIGHT THERE on the cup that it is a quote from a customer and that it wasn't necessarily the opinion of Starbucks, so they were remaining neutral. But I'm sure that if another cup said something totally opposite on it some atheist would get all up in arms about it as well...

Yeah, she's over-reacting and you post something like this. That seems about par for the course.
