Well, now that we have the OFFICIAL list of content for Rock Band 2, I figured it was time for the official RB2 thread.

I just want the game. They better not be selling it only as a kit when it comes out because I don't need anymore guitars or drums.

Wow... what a set list. Going by set list alone, GH4 is going to be hard pressed even to compete. I'm sure GH4 will be great too, but wow this is just an INCREDIBLE set list. And the ability to bring over songs from the RB1 Disk.. what ever "most" means is awsome too. This is going to be awsome.

I hope they release a drum pack when this comes out, already have 3 guitars to play with but the drum set is actually going to be different and mine isn't very responsive.

Yea that would be nice, but I doubt that will happen
I'm in the same boat, I am planning on just buying the game to start and then upgrading my drums later on down the road.

That premium ION drumset looks so awsome.. hah. Too bad it's $300. It would be worth it if I was really into drums since it supposedly can act as a standalone electronic drum set, but I'm not a drummer, i just play one on TV. I'll probably just upgrade to their "normal" upgraded drums later and use my beat up drums from RB1 for a while.

Wow.... Activision is backtracking from what they've said before. In their e3 presentation yesterday they said that the GH:WT would be compatible with other games.... so you can use your RB drums, guitar, etc with GH:WT. Makes me much more willing to buy both games

Why only the 360, what about the PS3?

My guess is Microsoft is forcing controller compatibility in the games and Sony isn't. If they are smart they will apply these changes to the PS3 as well as the Xbox360, but you'd think they'd have said that instead of specifying the xbox360.

I'll consider it depending on the track list and the reviews of the game but I'm still more likely to skip it at this point.

The thing that bothers me about Rock Band 2's track listing is a lot of these songs are not instantly recognizable (at least not to me).

I had to check out many of the songs on Youtube to get them - the songs are great, but from the title alone I can't remember them.

Nirvana's lack of Smells Like Teen Spirit leaves me to believe we can still expect some DLC from them before the release of RB2.

It's a nice diverse track list, but for some reason I find RB1's list to be more "approachable".
