Broncos offensive line has GOT to do a better job. It's the only place I've really been unhappy with Elway's management...I know he had to free up some money to improve the defense, but the o-line is the last place you slice, especially with an ancient QB and a shaky running game. If this keeps up, Manning will not make it through the season. I'd really like us to beat on the Lions early so we can put Osweiler in and get him some xp...with Suh gone and Stafford hurt, there's a chance.
Foster's back this week? Texans NEED NEED NEED him. If Mallet can pull his punches a little and make his passes easier to catch for his head-up-ass receiving corps, they might do okay without Foster, but that's a big if. However, I sure as hell wouldn't rush my star RB back from GROIN SURGERY before he's ready. Not with as little else as that offense has going for it.
Sympathetic chuckle for the Cowboys. What did they do, refuse entry to a dude with a goat? Sell their greatest star to a division rival so they could finance a Broadway musical? Ironically, though, this might end up helping them. If Weeden can just hang on to .500, T&D might come back fresh for division run time. As bad as the East is this year, holding your best players out of the first several games would be a pretty canny strategy if they did it on purpose...they're not going to beat the Packers for home field, so all they really need is 10-6ish.
Edelman just a push-off artist? Bad receivers push off...good receivers create space. Edelman was my choice for Super Bowl MVP.
