The Colts were very dumb for keeping Pagano and Grigson. However, the Titans made the Colts look like Stephen Hawking in comparison when they decided to keep Mike Malarkey. That was an inexplicable decision.

The Rams will stay in LA for at least 20 years. I have heard that the Raiders, who lost out on moving back to LA, would like to relocate to LV. I believe that this is a really possibility, depending on the stadium situation. Personally I am opposed to any municipality underwriting the NFL. But that is a local decision. Too many cities have gone screwed over by professional teams moving out, before those municipal bonds are paid off. The Raiders got screwed over by Jerry Jones on the LA decision, and the NFL wants to make it up to the Raiders. So LV could be a real possibility.

Fisher is the most overrated coach in the NFL. He's not a bad coach, but he last went to a SB in 1999. Some playoff appearances and exits, sure, but this guy is treated like he's one of the best.

In the last 12 seasons, from 2004 to 2015, Jeff Fisher has had 2 winning seasons, and 2 he has tied. That's 8 losing seasons in 12. His last 5 seasons have been losses. In these 12 years, he's been to the playoffs twice and won zero games. The last 4 seasons with the Rams, are all below .500. Last time Fisher won a playoff game was in 2003. I don't call this a good record for any head coach. The most amazing thing is that he is still a head coach.

I think Fisher was also head of the competition committee. He has a lot of pull in the league, but I always thought his teams were dirty as far as cheap shots go. I think people assume if he had a QB again like McNair his teams would be contenders again, so they gave him a lot of leeway when trying to find one. At some point they just need to realize he isnt that good, and is average at best. But I guess if he is simply like any other coach, you kinda know what you are getting with him so its safer to be mediocre than risk being total crap.

Just as a comparison, compare Tom Coughlin's record. He was canned by the Giants at the end of last season. The Giants tried to make it look like it wasn't a firing, but Coughlin disagreed. Did they do the right thing? That's a tough call. Being the oldest head coach in the NFL may have been the deciding factor. I guess they felt it was time for a change.

But Coughlin's record is far and way superior to Fisher's. In the last 12 years, you can argue that there maybe head coaches with a better record than Coughlin. But only one head coach has a definitively better record, that being Bill Belichick. Especially if you go back a few more seasons. I know someone is going to argue this point, but what the hey.

I don't know. Maybe it is because I don't hangout at sports bars. Or maybe because I don't watch ESPN. Or maybe English is my second language, as I just crossed the border last year and I am a Dreamer.
