Hi all, I was hoping someone here can help me with an Office 2010 licensing question. I have a friend with a PC that is running really slow according to him. He said it's more than likely the computer just needs some clean up. I was planning to back up his important files, do a complete wipe and then do a clean installation of Windows 10. The problem is his copy of Office, which was likely pre-installed onto his machine. Is their a way to transfer that license of Office back onto the same machine after a complete wipe? Does MS licenses agreement allow us to reinstall a pre-installed version of Office back onto the same machine after a wipe?
If not I was planning on installing my copy of Office 2010 onto his machine after I do a complete wipe. As far as I know I believe I have 1 install left out of the 3 installs. The problem is I don't know sure, is there a way to find out how many installs I have left on my Office license? I've tried google searching and I even called up the Office sales phone number and from what I have researched online and from what I was told over the phone there doesn't seem to be a way in finding out. Thanks in advance for any help.
