In my earlier post I mentioned that the local OD prices for me were not as good as what the op saw.

However it looks like the prices I saw on the box might not be as low as what is in the system.

The 256mb PC2100 was labelled $36.02 but rang up for around $25.

Might pay to have them scanned to see if the price has dropped.

At Baileys Crossroad VA OD, there were 3 sticks of PC2100 SODimm for notebook and 1 stick of PC2700 for desktop. All of them at pricetag 40.XX.

I didn't ask to price check them, so it might've been lower than the price on the tag.

PC100/PC133 SODIMMs make use of 144 pins, while PC2100 DDR (and higher, of course. as long as still in the SDRAM genre) SODIMMs make use of 200 pins.

A quick check of some DDR SODIMMS indicate that some do have 144-pins, while others have 200-pins. I haven't actually seen if the "allignment" slot is in the same place though.
