Office Depot Price-Match Question

Anyone know for sure if OD will price-match a local camera store's prices - as listed on that store's web-site?

Since the closest OD to me is about 15mi from the house, I phoned to ask them the same question and the answer wasn't very reassuring...

The manager said "we don't price-match internet prices, but we do price-match local store ads from local stores". I then asked him "is or isn't a price on a local store's web-site considered as an ad for that store"? He would only say "come on down and he would check it out".

Usualy interprices are different always most stores won't match an online price even if the store is also local, say best buy, they have specials online but not at the store.
price matching is only in my opinion matched if it came out in an AD.
if they did pricematch i be buying all the time in stores instead of online.

Office depot will price match brick & mortar deals but not internet deals. What he told you wasnt really all that confusing.

Mine requires a printed ad (not computer printed, the type you get in newspapers) in order to pricematch. Me hates them.

Donno about OD, but last time I went to Microcenter, they took my printout of an internet ad and called the store to confirm the price. I think that's reasonable, and you can insist on OD customer support doing the same.

i once did that, a compusa store was selling a cd-r on special only in NYC and i'm an hour away so i went to local Office MAx i think and they called up the store and price matched it.
