Office workers: do you eat lunch at your desk?

You people must be slobs if you consider eating at your desk nasty or that it gets food everywhere.

I eat at my desk pretty much every day and there isn't a crumb to be found in my keyboard.

I either

1. Play Spades which is actually more useful than our daily standup because I find out what problems people on other teams are having and often find out people are working on things with the same root cause as my bug.

2. Go to the YMCA and play basketball for 1.5 hours, return and eat at my desk (I get in an hour early on these days).

I eat at my desk. We have to track all of our time because of our contracts with city/state governments, so if I go out to lunch, I have to make that time up somewhere else to get my 8 hours in. I'd much rather leave and get home 30 minutes earlier than take a break in the middle of the day.

I can either eat at my desk or 'clock out' and have to spend more time at work.

If I have some kind of smelly food or something that would be noticeable to office mates, I won't eat at my desk. Sandwiches get eaten at my desk. Fish curry gets eaten in the cafeteria.

I eat in the cafeteria with actual people. It's actually something to look forward to. If I didn't like the people at work I'd probably go crazy.

I eat at my desk every day. Our break/kitchen area is used by a bunch of slobs, and it's disgusting by lunch time.

I also take a break twice a day and go for a one mile walk on each one, so that takes care of exercise. Started that a few years ago when I quit smoking. In the warmer months, I also go for another mile walk after dinner at home.

Eat at the desk all the time. I only have 30 min lunches and have to drive to grab something so I take a lunch almost every day. Not a crumb in sight btw.

I eat at my desk almost every day... There really isn't an alternative here unless you go out for lunch.

The last place I worked had a lunchroom / cafeteria and some of us would meet there for lunch, whether we brought our own lunch or not.

I have a group of friends here at work, and if we are able to we eat together. But there are days, like today, when we don't get the chance to eat together and I will eat in my office.

It depends. If I want to save money, I bring lunch and eat at my own desk. If I am sick of cooking, I will go out and get something different.

I eat at my desk most of the time. If I go out to eat with coworkers, we usually bring the food back and eat together in the caf. Often there isn't enough time and we just head back to our desks though. Lunch is 30 min.

If I'm too far to go home for lunch and I have no one else to eat with, I'll eat at my desk. Otherwise, I head on home, especially since I live five minutes away.

I used to do this at my first job all the time.

My second job I vowed not to do it and for the first 3 months I ate in the cafeteria with coworkers and stuff. I've stopped again now that I have to commute more between the 2 sites. I don't even have a regular desk at the second office, so I'm forced to.

However, I'm getting lazy also with my main office and I'm eating at my cube now. I don't like it though because it causes for a messier desk and a nastyass keyboard over time.

Edit: I also used to be real good at controlled neffing so that's why I managed for 3 months to not surf during lunch and actually enjoy lunch without my phone. Now I'm obviously spending too much time on AT Forums again..

I usually go home as it helps break the day a bit, but when I stay in, I eat at my desk. I push anything over such as keyboard, papers etc then clean the area well before resuming work. If it's really busy sometimes the boss will also buy us lunch and we work through it. Can technically put 1 hour overtime for that, but since he buys us lunch we usually don't put it in.
