I think I may have to take a drive on Sunday morning... 1 1/2 hours away, but looks like it may be worth the drive. I need a new mouse, and am about to build a new computer, so could use the keyboard, another mouse (my son can buy the 2nd one), blank CD's are always nice, etc. About 10 things there that sound good to me. I'll still have to wait and see how much the rebates are for though, that can kill the deals sometimes if it's too much of a rebate (I'd rather pay $10 for CD-R's than pay $40 and wait for a $40 rebate - risk of too much hassle)

You may have to select your area to get to these links, but here's some info on the 52x24x52 internal cd-rw drives:

2032-9173 = Mad Dog 52x24x52.

2022-0529 = Micro Advantage 52x24x52.

I'm a Lite-On junkie so I don't know which is better, but for $4.99 AR, I may want to get a backup.

I'm very pleased with my Cyberdrive rebadge. It seems to be doing fine, unlike the Lite-On that I got that failed withing 4 months. Like you said, for $5, one can't complain too much

Both drives include Nero. Form the pics, the Micro Advantage appears to be the Cyberdrive rebadge (two eject buttons).

If they sub any rebadged Lite-On's, I'm gonna go nutz!

Oh I am a lite-on guy too.
Having been using their cdrw, cdrom, dvdrom etc for 3 years, they have never failed me and was once(about two year ago) the best price performance drive on the market.

FAR MS optical mouse = HOT.

Mad Dog did mailed back my rebate for the 52x dvd drive i bought before, worth $30.

Mad Dog is good for padding orders at OM but their hardware is usually crappy in my experience. (their sound cards are horrible causing hangs during bootup and require inventive configuration, their dvd drives usually require that they be jumpered as the master drive or they don't work, the their cdr drive isn't anything great but it works albeit rather noisy.) And Mad Dog also requires registration of all products applying for a rebate (why?)

For $5 I could care less but I've also tried the Microadvantage and they work much better. Just my $.02 in case anyone is torn between the two.

My 7.1 Mad Dog soundcard with Envy24HT was $5 AR and has worked flawlessly from day one. Digital input and output - sounds great. I replaced an SBLive 1024 and the jump in sound quality was amazing.

Very reliable. I've spent over $400 in rebates there and never had a single rebate rejected. Sometimes it takes a while, but they always come through.

Wow, over 1 hr apart and a double post... though i'd seen everything...

The WD 250GB is on 'sale' 2/22 - 2/28 and has at least a $50 WD rebate.

With all the hard drive deals, I can't imagine it being >$90 AR. Pure speculation.
