Same here, are you a small business owner? I spend a lot of money at OM and Staples and so they are constantly sending me coupons. I too am going to add a few freebies and the 80 gig drive for 20 bucks. Good deals

UPDATE!!!!

Looks like the I/O Magic Magic Spin 8X DVD+/-RW is a substitute for the Khypermedia 8X DVD+RW and Micro Advantage 8X DVD+/-RW drive.

The Magic Spin is most definately either Optorite or BTC.

What is/are the advantage(s) of dual layer over single layer?

I'll probably opt for the 25 imation DVD+Rs for 19.95 because I get the feeeling that with in a month or two the dual layer stuff will start coming out and the single layer stuff will drop through the roof on pricing.

The most obvious advantage of a dual layer disk is that it will hold twice as much data as a standard DVD+R. So because of that you'll be able to make exact copies of your movies with no need to shrink them.

But in my honest opinion I don't think they will really be mainstream until at least 12-18 months from now. Sure they will be out this summer, but you'll pay premium for them.

Well I when to my local OM one hour after it open and they were out of the CD burner and they would not give a rain check they said that they had another burner that they replaced it with and was out of that one to so no rain checks. Needless to say I was not happy. they could not have had over 2 of the CD in stock. not a good way to run a ad

It looks like they'll have the Microadvantage drive as teh CDRW of the week starting on 2/8. Maybe try again next Sunday.

I was the first in the door and after 7 of us went to stare in amazement at the CD/DVD shelf, the clerk showed up. We asked about the 100 DVD+r as advertised. He stammerd out that they only got one in and he wasn't sure where it was.

I was on my way out when he went behind the CS desk and held up the only one in the store. I got that and the 120 WD that was $49 AR.

All set now? I think I 'm addicted to this process. Is there a community for rebate shopping addiction?

They ARE subbing the Memorex DVD+R 50 packs for the Arita's. My store had NO Arita's at 10am but plenty of the Memorex. Got 100 Memorex DVD+R for $59.99 and they claim they will honor the $20 rebate. The substitution is authorized, ask them to look it up in their little sale binder behind the customer service desk.

My local OM had everything well in stock except for the Imation DVD+Rs.....only had one spindle in the store and that was only after I asked a clerk to look for it. Said he found it stuck away behind some boxes that had come in for the sale today, so appears the employees were hiding some of the sale stock for themselves. I took the spindle.......and one of the Khypermedia 52X CDRWs, which strangely enough, came to $29.99 after instant rebate at the register and has a $30 rebate printout with it. So, for FAR for that drive, seems good enough.

Officemax rarely has what is in the ad in stock. Usually what they do have in the ad they do not have a lot of. They do offer substitons but not on all items. You need to raise hell and tell the store manager you will call the headquarters in ohio.

Were the memorex 4X? Care to run them through DVDInfoPro? Are they RicohJPN01?
