These deals come up every now and then wondering if anyone's picked one up and knows if they're comfortable? Needing a new chair.

Go sit in one and see how it feels and check out the build quality. IMHO I usually would spend more to get something that will last and is comfortable for you.

I agree with amdskip. Typically the padding is too thin and breaks down over time. I've gotten these chairs for around $25 and at that price it was barely worth it. You could sit in the chair for an hour before it became really uncomfortable.

I've gone through 3 or 4 of those chairs, not a bad deal at fifty bux. My office is small and the two chairs are always getting banged up, and my kids just love spilling crap on them, so they work just fine for me, buy em, trash em, rinse and repeat.

I also, (*had) this chair....the quality I would rate as a 1 out of 10...It broke down after less then 6 months with my 120lbs. wife sitting on it daily....I can only imagine how it woulda been after my fat azz sat on it. =)

I use these chairs at my salon, after a year now the arm rests are finally starting to rip off and the ugly yellow foam is being exposed.
I will probably buy another 6 since they are really comfy and you cant beat them at this price

Mine lasted about 3 years before the metal plate/tilt mechanism broke....I went to lean back gently and the chair just kept going back...lol. Oh well....easily worth the money IMO.

this type of chair is what i've been using for a long time. they're not great, but cheap enough to replace when they get old. usually pretty good for the first year or so, after that they tend to get worn. The one i'm sitting in now i've had for over 2 years, but the padding on it is pretty much gone.

i dunno, my dog would end up destroying an expensive one, so i'd rather have these crappy ones that i can replace every year or so. I'll probably pickup this one at officemax

IMO these are a good deal. I bought one for my son over a year ago and he's still using it. As others have mentioned, the armrest material is ripping and the padding has worn considerably but for $50.00 it's still worth it. When you check out the prices and quality of chairs, these still are a good deal.

Ha I bought something like this 5 years ago. The seat wore through from my fat as$ playing wow. It's more than paid for it self though, lasted much longer than I thought it would.
at 50 its warm deal I think, i remember mine was close to 30.

I've gone through enough of these chair deals to now feel guilty about my land fill contribution. Next chair I buy, I want to last for at least 10 years and still feel comfortable.

I remember getting similar charis for $25~$30ish. They are probably worth only that much anyway.
