After calling around to a bunch of OM's in the Chicago area I found one that had two 300i's left. The clerk told me he had just had about five phone calls on these units, and three people were on their way over - no holding a unit - first come first served. I got there in about 20 minutes and got the last one. While I was checking out someone else called asking for one, and the clerk said that the last unit was being paid for as they spoke. PHEW!

machintos,
Only one in Houston that I could find was at the Katy store. And it was the last one...
Had to jump on it early though (I got it at ~12:30)

Anyone have a hell of a hard time trying to get officemac to pay their rebates? I would stay away from this because it seems to be near impossible to ever get them to send u a check back for the MIR's.

I was under the impression that 4x DVD+R would take like 15 mins.
But it took approx 40 mins at 4x on the HP DVD+R disc that came with the drive using Nero 5.5.10.20.
Am I doing something wrong or is that normal burn time?
BTW, thanks to sharpeyed ChunkyBarf for pointing out the 300i SKU in the ad.

It does say it won't be able to print PostScript files, would it print PDF file? Anyone has hands on experience, please comment on it.
.ps files can be converted into pdf by adobe acrobat, so if PDF is fine, no problem in that department.
