Sorry, here's better links for you.

I just purchased MS Office XP at OfficeMax.com. You get $400+ worth of iomega products free after rebate, as stated in previous threads, and you can use the $30 off $150 coupon. Great Deal!

Go to link. From that page, find the OMAX coupon that you want to use. Click on the link to OfficeMax. Click on "Start Shopping."

The Office XP package is advertised on the right side of the page, click on the link. Then at the botton of that page will be a listing of which software packages are available (standard upgrade, standard, pro, etc.). Click on the one you want, place it in your cart, and the coupon will automatically activate after you enter your credit card info. This is for the bundle (OfficeXP plus all the $50 stuff). My subtotal came to $289.99 minus the $30 coupon.

Note: The $30 coupon is for new users. But there are other coupons. If you've never used an Omax coupon before, there are no codes, you must purchase through the links.

I hate to be a thread crapper, but office XP really sucks. It's not worth the upgrade for me.

Microsoft is sucking you in!!!!! Do you think that XP is really worth more than $50.00? They need to give you all the free stuff just to justify the insane price!!!

You have to include the original UPC's from all packages. That kills the resale value of this deal.

Ok. Then let's say you don't cut the UPC codes. Well then you get to resell them and still make up the money you spent for XP and possibly make some more.

You need to send in the original UPC's in order to get the rebate.

I believe you would have no problem selling all of this stuff for way more than the $50 rebate. If you are worried about resal just bypass the $50 rebate. Still apretty hot deal.

You get a burner, zip drive, and six zip disks for $290 - $30 coupon. Even without the rebate this is pretty hot.

I wonder how the B&M stores are ringing this deal up at the register. Maybe one could do this deal, but then return office XP, keep the rest and forget about the $50 rebate. If it's a separate item on the receipt, I don't see why you can't return just Office XP, after all you are paying for the other stuff, it's not free except after rebate. Looks like they are making it a "package" on their site, so maybe the B&M stores are too? Thoughts anyone?

I'd really like to do this deal, I just can't justify $239 for something I don't need and probably can't give away! (that is if the one time registration/activation theory holds true)

My take on the resale value (foregoing the rebate) is as follows:

$240 + $50 - $50 (coupon expires 5/31, see above) = $240

Resale value for office? Lets say $100.
100Mb ZIP? $40?
Disks? $20
Software? $20
Burner? $80

After all the hassle, is $20 profit worth it? Not to me...

PS. I guestimated the resale values but I doubt I'm too far off.

Though it would be unethical for me to give it out there is a registration code that you can use on Office XP that does not require you to register it. I use it and it works. But as I said. I cant give it out. They would probably ban me from the forum and I like this place.

This is a really good idea, is someone willing to try it? Or call a CSR or ask @ the B&M store about it? Seems like it should work....the this would be super hot.

I havent actually bought it, but I went to the store and asked a cashier -- she said they ring up as one item so you cannot return individual pieces.

I know this is slightly unethical but I have no problem with it. How about buying the whole package deal. 239.99 + 50.00 - 50.00 (coupon) NOT REBATE = 239.99 + tax. Now I read omax's return policy and it doesn't say (unless i missed it) that you need an original receipt simply to return an item. Therefore, return the office xp for credit, purchase something else with the credit, then you have an original receipt so now you can exchange the item and get cash back. Everyone follow?

I went to good ol OfficeMax today and discovered this: If you were to return XP and the Iomega bundle, then return XP, you would have to return XP or pay full price for the Iomega bundled items. This came out of the manager after 45 mins of confusion and discussion. It doesn't stay anywhere in the terms of the offer that you will be charged full price for the items if XP is returned, so I'm thinking that the manager was aware that a savvy customer could score free Iomega gear. I'm going to go to a different OfficMax this weekend and just buy the package. Then raise hell if they don't give me my money back for XP. I think it's just going to be a matter of making a scene and the manager giving me a refund to shut me up. I'll let you know how that fares this weekend.

My receipt, because I used the coupon at the B&M, rang up all the items at regular price and then deducted $359.96 as a discount.

I don't want to start a flame war but I feel I must voice my two cents. Why must everyone figure out a way to cheat OM? Obviously, this is a special bundle price therefore you can't return items at its regular price. Although it doesn't say anything about returning Office, it is logical to believe that if you return Office XP then you would not have purchased it to receive the special price. Taking it further, if something was on sale for Buy One Get One Free; you can't just return one and keep the "free" one. Like I said, just my $.02
