Damn! I watched the first two periods of the pens game last night, and decided to go out to a bar because I thought they were gonna lose.

Then I miss two short-handed goals to catch up, and crosby winning the game in a shootout

Although I did get to see laroque play for the first time. What a beast...

You will love big George. He's great on and off the ice.

bah a ot loss to the kings. hopefully we'll beat those pesky sharks tonight.

brian burke is hilarious, check out his trade deadline blog blog

"I talk to Florida assistant GM Randy Sexton about Todd Bertuzzi, and he tells me "the guy we like is Perry." I offer him profanity. If you are offended by profanity, it's difficult to make a trade in the NHL. If you are going to try to rob me, at least wear a mask."

If Bert is on his game....... watchout. For a big guy he has really great hands. To bad he does not show up all the time.

When we played the Blues in the first round a couple years back.......... he took McInnis & Barret Jackman out of the sereies with punishing (clean) hits. The second round........ after the Wild beat use and lost in the third round Willie Mitchell had to have surgery immeadiately because of the pounding he took from Bert.

Cheers,
Aquaman

OMG the Sharks fvckin suck right now. I can't believe this slump is continuing. So frustrating watching this team just break down game after game after game. Our guys are just flat out scared to play against Anaheim it seems. Ugh!

*sigh* another day, another loss.

On the upside, I can say that I know how Flyers fan feel watching their team lose night in, night out.

Heh, you can afford to lose, since there's no team even close to taking you outta the playoffs

The problem is that we've been losing too much lately. I honestly think it might be time for Ron Wilson to go as our coach. If you look at our roster, there's no way that we should be playing this badly...especially with the playoffs right around the corner.

Anaheim has taken five of seven from San Jose this season.

didn't get a chance to see too much of the game, but the part i did see, the ducks were surprisingly physical and putting a lot of checks into the sharks players. so that was good to see.

Philly has a better Last 10 record than the Sharks right now.

I was at the Honda Center tonight, watching the Sharks make stupid offside plays again and again with players no even involved in the run of play. Anaheim's third goal was fantastic, though. Patient power play buildup, pentagram offense, finished beautifully by a long range bullet from Pronger from dead center.

WOW! Look at that! Not only can the Sharks pull off a win, they can shutout a division rival if they played well enough!

/sarcasm

Anyways, it was good to see the Sharks bounce back from losing 4 in a row and shutting out the Stars and putting the hurt on Turco. Go Sharks Go!

Yeah Friday's game was super frustrating to watch as a Sharks fan. I swear there were times that my remote was going to fly into my TV.

I was convinced the sharks wouldn't even be able to buy a win, but it looks like they proved me wrong, hopefully they stop being so damned streaky.

and sampson, everytime i watch buffalo play i become convinced that is the case.

Hell, Buffalo, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Pittsburgh,.. even New Jersey (with their moronically boring trap and brick wall goalie), can whip up any team the west can throw at them.

Nashville really has the best chance, followed by Detroit and Anaheim. Detroit will lose in the first round due to their players having no legs left in the second half of the game.
Anaheim will just go cold and self destruct, same with San Jose (if they can even muster the balls to stay in the playoff ranks). Vancouver can't score goals to save their lives and will not make it deep. The rest are just fodder. Very unimpressive division this year.

Good day for the idle Sabres. Ottawa, Detroit, New Jersey and Nashville all lose. Magic number for Buffalo to make the playoffs is 11, division 21, conference 27 and 31 for the league.

I know I've said it before, but it's getting to be eerie how good Buffalo record is when Tallinder is in the lineup. They are now 25-4-1 when Henrik plays.

Wow, that's a pretty bold statement. Buffalo and New Jersey can go toe-to-toe with the best of the West, but I would bet money that Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Pittsburgh would lose a series against Detroit, Anaheim or Nashville. None of those teams is as deep as the three Western teams. Pittsburgh has the brightest future.

Edit: I'm not saying they'd be dominated, just that Nashville, Detroit and Anaheim are better than Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Pittsburgh.
