It's Gwen Stefani's Bananas song. Then it goes into Hang on Sloopy, Sloopy Hang on.

And for the guy talking about Northern Illinois, they could shock some Big Ten teams this year.

If (hopefully when) Iowa beats both OSU and Michigan, that game with NIU could be a hangover game for the Hawks.

gonna be a great game.. im gonna be glued to the tv... its sad that its the second game in the season.. I was hoping there would be a second game before the Texas game simply so the defense could get some more experience. tapes are important for them right now.

it would be funny if this was a big game, and then there was a rematch for the national championship... has that ever happened much?
sadly that probably can't happen since a team would then have a loss and both teams are typically undefeated when it comes time for the National Championship.

1996, then No. 1 Florida lost to then No. 2 Florida State during the season. The two met up in the Sugar Bowl with Florida as No. 2 and Florida State as No. 1, and Florida won.

edit: ok, maybe they weren't No. 2 at the time. they were No. 3 i guess, and No. 2 was arizona state, which lost to ohio state in the rose bowl the previous day.

damn, there were a lot of things that had to go right for florida. they lost to florida state in the last game of the regular season. at that point state was no. 1, and the cornhuskers were no. 2, and i guess asu was no. 3. then the cornhuskers lost to texas in the big xii title game. what are the chances of both asu and the cornhuskers losing to clear florida's way back to the top?

I'm a fan of neither, but I hope that OSU wins. This is probably Texas' only chance to lose all season long, because of how absolutely abysmal the Big 12 is and has been for the past few years.

Lately, Texas reminds me of the Florida State teams back in the day that played in the really crappy ACC. They played like one hard team the whole season, then just coasted the rest of the way.
