Not sure what prices you are looking up on them but they are going to be released for the same cost the 970's were at initial launch and much better then any of the previous gen cards out there.

Order the card off of ebay for normal price after it's been released for a bit and have them ship it to you looks to be the way to go.

I am not sure if Custom PCB cards will be cheaper.
And stock PCB sucks.It is only 4+1 phase and TDP limit is only 168w.

Rumours have GP106 based at 249 and 279. Performance is at 970 and 980. 192bit 6GB GDDR5, 90-100W. But we have to see.

I am really interested how much new 500euro 1070 will sell.
970 was hit because price.1070 is ovepriced like hell.It cost almost like new GTX980 at launch.

If i look at CZ prices:
reference GTX970 start at 9000 czech koruna and i was buying Gigabyte G1 for 9400 czech koruna(day1)
GTX980 starts at 14700 czech koruna

1070 will cost 13800 czech koruna and good non reference cards like MSI gaming X ad gigabyte G1/extreme will cost 15000-16000 czech koruna
Pretty much +63% price increase ...

I'm PCSing to Germany in a few months, how are the prices for cards over there? 424 Euros is a bit more than the 450 USD MSRP for the FE card.

Prices in Germany are the lowest in Europe, for exemple there is a gap of 20-50euros between prices of gpu compared to France

Russian prices are $529 US for the 1070 and $831 US for the 1080. Big joke. In Canada, the 1080 is $789 USD after tax in my province. My 7970 OC that demolished a 580 OC by > 40% cost $400 USD new and came with 3 AAA games. Effectively this makes 1080 double what one of the best after-market 7970 cost me. This forum and others online hated on the 7970....but 1080 is forgiven. Double standards FTW!

It actually cost me less to buy all 3 of my Hawaii chips than a single 1080 FE costs in Canada. I fully expect GP102 to have $799 or even $899 MSRP in the United States.

What you, and many others, seem to be forgetting is that these prices have more to do with AMD/PowerVR/Matrox than with NVIDIA.

When you take competition out of the picture, pricing becomes straight supply/demand. Presumably supplies are low, demand is high, price will not be low.

Price/performance is never great at the top end, especially when uncontested.

With far less performance and stock. Also is curious that by that times the iPhone 7 are being produces... The stock will be hurt for mid range.

That's around 460$ in Denmark excluding VAT. These are FE prices. FED hike will make USD stronger and lower these prices a tad tho.

1060 should be 300-350euro if 1070 cost 500euro.
It will be 42-66% price gap.

You act like there isn't any cheaper than 500€ with VAT. Certain people also claimed that all 1080 would be 699 or more. And already on launch day we see 599 and 609 prices on custom cards. You would think those people had learned by now.

We will see.So far 599USD 1080 are only with crap cheap cooler and crap stock PCB.
All decent cards with CUSTOM PCB are for 700USD.
